i think he done a good job and by the looks of it it's only a couple of screws to remove and looks easy to put the parts back if you want to transform it

if they didn't have to include that sound box the back of the figure would have been so different it's quite a chunky box

 

They were not forced, they could put the voice box inside prime gun like they did for megatron. Bad idea put a voice box inside the torso.

 

I don't have a horse in this race as MP 44 doesn't interest me at all, but for $400, at the very least the quality control on the figure needs to be beyond reproach. So Any KO that can give the quality a $400 figure should have at a lower cost is good.

 

I don't have the figure. So i won't know everything.
But:
In truck mode, pls have a panel or something to cover the gastank for robot mode. Or just just the upper side of the back more clean.
Smaller backpack should be possible without the voicebox. Put the voice in his gun like mp-36.
Better paint so it won't chip.

I'm looking for one without the trailer, without the electronics, for starters. Just the figure, the gun, the ax, without all the other stuff.

That came around for the MP-10 mold but it took many years.

 

I would like a MP44 KO that offered these things:

- Improved joint tolerances and adding ratchets where improvements are needed.
- Harder plastic on the ears.
- Proper knee ratchets so as to avoid breakage.
- Panels to hide some of the odd looking places for the back of his feet in bot mode and the rear of his cab in alt mode. They can be partsforming panels or additional moving parts.
- An option to make the backpack removable. This way options for a voice clip backpack or a smaller non-voiced backpack could be added.
- More chip resistant paint added similar to the IT-01 Megatron in areas prone to chipping such as the crotch.
- More metal parts for longevity and quality feel.
- Offers all the gimmicks of MP44 or at least the trailer. If that can't happen, then fine... I guess I'll turn to trailer shopping on the aftermarket.
- Improvement on the energy axe connector.
- A proper waist rotation fix.
- This probably won't be possible but aligning his legs more to the centre of his body to align with his shoulder from the side view. It looks weird seeing his legs positioned so far forward from the side view.

That's about it for now. A long list indeed but it's a meaningful one I think. Make it happen.

 

Yes, it is VERY weird. I agree that this should be addressed.

also, paint the sides of the red pieces inside the legs blue, so they don't show when in robot mode and are still red when they are used in al mode.
I wonder why takara didn't do it at that price point

I hadn’t seen the backpack on mp44 before tonight, I assumed it was like most primes—- you know, a bulge out of his back.
But I have since beheld and I’m pretty speechless.  
the only word that comes to mind is: Fuckouttahere. 

 

Does it affect transformation?
