Is quite unusual to see this kind of comments at this moment. Aren't you familiar with UT movie series?!

Well, better late than never!

 

To be fair their other ones have a lot of blocky elements in bot mode that make it fairly visible that they transform. This is the first figure that shows they’ve found how to make a nice smooth bot mode that hides literally everything. (Tho jet mode suffers)

 

But remember that at the time they were announced, people didn't believe that they transformed at all! Now they are outclassed by Dragoon, but they are still quite good for what they are.

(Off topic) Remember when his 1000 pound head was pushed over by Mark like it was foam? Still gets me to this day.

 

Actually I am. I've got Peru kill ,which I love . I'm just floored they manage to push the envelope with each release in terms of how clean the bot modes looks while the alt modes are also really good. This one looks the cleanest. My only issue now is, which version of Challenger to get, the Original optimus colors, or one of the 2 nemesis variants.

 

...To specify what I meant. I would have preferred an improved OS KO of the Leaderclass Last Knight Megatron over the voyager, I don't care for the Voyagers 'transformation'. I really appreciated the mass shifting aspect of the leader mold and was surprised that its jet mode was just as large as the OS KO voyager (who's about twice the size of the leaderclass toy in bot mode).

(Hasbro did the same thing with their Devastator, using a lot of folding out hollowed parts and hidden gaps, allowing a large combined mode with bots close to the size of TFC Hercules. Sometimes these rare little engineering improvements by Hasbro and Takara are overlooked, thank God they did away with electronics and stupid auto moving gears).

Note, I do however prefer Unique Toys Dragoon over BOTH!!!

I prefer UT's option over a possible leader KO version and am looking forward to this being released. I am also hopeful that the cockpit opens, like challenger's doors (will use a halo minifig or something  )

 

And when it changed size and mass when Daytrader sat it down?

Oh, oh, or how it was intact at all, considering it got blown up in DotM?

Jesus, TLK was a trainwreck.

 

And yet, it remains my personal favorite of all the films. And I KNOW it's objectively a jumbled mess.

I'm fairly optimistic about the december release date, or more likely january, but not too much past that would be my guess. UT has a pretty regular release schedule, and dragoon fits into that if you account for la hire and the challenger repaints taking up a little bit of their time.

Came here to say all this too. Seeing screamer's head gave me an initial rush of excitement followed by so many questions then frustration. Just like almost every scene in that movie.

 

They gave Starscream the Frenzy treatment. He also lost his head only to have it appear in Simmons' man cave later.

 

That one I was willing to let slide only because Simmons seems like the type of guy who'd meticulously piece something back together.

 

It was, but hey at least it gave us a pretty awesome take on megatron and phenomenal figures like this and UT prime

 

Do we know how the face mask gimmick works yet? I'm guessing the horns slide forward and maybe the chin flips around?

 

I've heard speculation that the face plate is a separate piece that is plugged in after the horns slide forward and is incorporated into the figure when not in use. Hope not though. Seems like a flipping chin piece would work fine.
