I started a new wip to send to challenger comics to redeem myself. I was asked to draw a small quick Leader-1 a few years ago and it was horrible. I plan on taking it them in February when I go to C2E2. This was really quick and rough. Lots to come. Going to mix parts from all 3 versions.
Working on the arms. Biceps too thin and left arm is off centered. After I get the rest roughed in I’ll clean it all up. I can’t decide if I want feet or toon/toy no feet.
Hey. So Feel free to look at the wip pics and comment. I love getting likes but I get more satisfaction from constructive criticism. It helps me improve.
I think the design is excellent, and the way you've realistically detailed and proportioned it is great. I think the only critique I have is that one shoulder's "tip" looks rounder than the other.
And I’m sorry but he can’t transform. Seriously though I don’t know jets and 80’s toy and new version are different.
Love your work. For reference, Leader-! turns into an F-15 Eagle, if that helps. The wings are a little rounded. Otherwise, you put a lot of great detail into these.
I was using the wings on the new figure as reference but I don’t really like them. I may change them to original toy design and still stick out like the toon.
Ok. I’ve not touched this since my last post. But I found the horrible horrible sketch of the toy I did on a comic back with a sharpie on the steering wheel in 10 minutes 4 years ago. That’s got to be a run on sentence.
