I hope that Devastator prototype rumor comes true. It’s absolutely baffling as to why Hasbro hasn’t hyped up Studio Series Devastator.

 

Scrapper and Blitzwing would be an awesome wave.

 

Judging the description, I think they meant Overload.

 

Even the Legion-class one had the scorpion tail, because conveniently the vehicle he transforms into has a little tow hook at the back that was easily repurposed for it.

 

Is that was it was supposed to be? I thought it was just trying to justify and hide the hands "in plain sight" while slimming the arm kibble down. It did make for a nice "homage" to the missing Constructicon with a similar back arm to movie Bonecrusher.

 

if this is true, yes on blitzwing, and the surprise voyager has to be scrapper, unless it sentinel prime or the fallen.

 

Sentinel is in desperate need of a new toy.

Not bad. The prototype we saw last year was totally outdated, Hasbro needs to show the progress they've made since then.

Really, I think all of DOTM without a SS release so far is in desperate need of a new toy.

1. Wheeljack - cancelled, too expensive
2. Sentinel - one too big and complicated, the other too small (and shellformer-y)
3. Hatchet - only has a small, inaccurate (in vehicle mode) Cyberverse toy
4. Leadfoot - cancelled, too expensive
5. Roadbuster - needs a weaponised vehicle
6. Devcon - no toy
7. Dino - no toy

Only Crankcase and Topspin have IMO sufficiently adequate toys, even then I think they have huge rooms for improvement.

 

Don't forget the potential for deluxes of the random Decepticons who were the DC Cop Car, red Chevy Pickup, and the Long Haul Garbage Truck. Plus "Armorhide/Tankor" AKA Deep Desert Brawl.

Ew no. I'm not a fan of this recent trend of diluting the leader-class pricepoint with useless cheap accessories. Just make the figure itself good... on par with the DOTM leader in terms of quality, but more accurate sculpt.

 

Personally I disagree with you in calling the pillars "useless" accessories. They're pivotal items directly connected to Sentinel. I could see maybe, having him come with the control and releasing a few drone-like characters in later waves with the other base pillars, but not disregard them entirely

 

so who does everyone think the mystery voyager is going to be?

Here's my theories (from most probable to least)

1) AOE/TLK Optimus (they could get 3 uses of this mold with a few easy redco/retools, AOE Optimus, TLK Nemesis Prime, and AOE Knight Optimus)
2) AOE Galvatron (could be a heavily retooled Bee movie Optimus)
3) ROTF Fallen
4) Rusted AOE Optimus (again, could have repaint potential)
5) a combo voyager of Skids and Mudflap that combine to be an ice cream truck

other posiblitiies that are possible but not sure if will happen....

1) TLK Hound
2) AOE Hound
3) DOTM Ironhide (easy redeco with some new accessories)
4) The garbage truck decepticon from DOTM
5) Sentinel Prime (I put this as low probability because I more see them doing Sentinel as a leader)

I still want a toy of the Superfund bank truck. TFWiki calls him “Loader”. Give him a robot mode based on the movie 1 Payload toy and you’re good to go.

 

Man, Jeep Bee sounds so cool. Although I decided to give up collecting recently. Why do you have to test me like this, Hasbro? Although if he reuses Beetle Bee's mold, he won't be tempting at all...

 

Compared to Leader Prime, Sentinel is easy.
