I have an item on order with this guy as well! Shipment landed in my country yesterday, so we’ll see what happens in a few days. However, it looks like i’m gonna be busy making claims over the next couple if days!

    Ebay:
Yea, Not defending them or anything, but i think PayPal is flat out overwhelmed with claims. I think they are just trying to delay things hoping some of them will just go away on their own cause ebay just doesn't care in the least, so it falls on Paypal. They should have a better system for these issues at this point, cause they still think they are going to recover funds from the scammers, but thats just me.
Refusing is better than restarting the claim over again because of a different case description, adding additional days waiting for a refund.

So order 3 things over the past few days

Titans Return Blur from jdfashioner on eBay
Weijiang Predaking from chao7623 on eBay
Predking Sword from fenjianron0 on eBay

Will keep you posted to see if I end up with any of them. I don't have the best feeling with chao7623 on eBay £40 seems a little too good to be true but we shell see.

Speaking of: liujunling87_5 on eBay. I have had a bad feeling about him for quite some time after he never got back to me if he had stock on some items I wanted to buy a month or two ago. I'm so glad I did't pull the trigger tonight on his Predaking after reading yet another fan fav seller had sold his soul to the dark side.

Indeed. Not sure why all of the sudden they are straight scamming now. I doubt it is a hacked account as he is trying to string me along by messaging me back telling me to wait. Scammers rarely do that. There is some sort of bigger scam going down here... just not sure what. No more Chinese or random SE Asian sellers on eBay for me. Not even with 5000 positive feedback or whatever.

I still suspect in cases like this that the problem may be some middleman like a supplier or forwarder. I often assume given the amount of space and storage needed to house the amount of items many of these Chinese sellers list, especially without appearing to have their own individual storefront, that many of them are just middlemen themselves, coordinating sales from a supplier, but when said supplier starts scamming both the end buyer, and the seller, both are left screwed, with the seller potentially double-so, having to refund the customer, and losing the money already spent on the supplier. While it doesn't excuse their actions, I can certainly understand why many would close up and run at the potential double-loss. As to how prevalent this scenario is, if at all, I could only guess, but it just never makes much sense for a successful seller to go rogue once they have an established customer base, the quick, short-term payment would seemingly be far outweighed by the amount of long-term profits to be had.

I would agree that sounds plausible EXCEPT for my experience with a seller who first sent me a pack of worthless batteries but I still got my item just a couple days later. A month later, that seller is still rocking 100% positive feedback but with a SERIOUSLY dwindling product offering. Surely, if it was a middleman, it would be easier to extend auction times and drop BIN's than to mail out fake packages and lie to people via messaging, especially when the fake item scam to spoof shipping info is pretty well known. These people have to know they're going to get negative feedback AND take a Paypal hit and for someone with 8-10 years plus on eBay, this can't be the first time they've had supply chain issues. It doesn't make sense. I seriously think that maybe they have had their eBay accounts hacked and stolen, possibly BY a phony distributor.

Yeah, after all these years, I really don't have a consistent answer. Back in the days when buyers were sent containers of beads instead of the item they ordered, it was heavily suggested at that time it was shady distributors and not the sellers themselves, but there are definitely enough cases now where buyers have emailed sellers directly and gotten the runaround, making the shady distributors scenarios less likely. As far as your scenario with getting a bogus unrelated item AND the item you ordered, I honestly don't know that I've ever heard of that happening. I've had a seller send me a legit item that was defective, ship me replacement parts, have them get stuck in customs and returned to him, only for him to then seemingly go rogue and disappear before resending the replacement parts (fully confirmed with USPS and China Post his story was completely legit).

Wish I would of read this thread earlier!
Ordered KO G1 Computron and Abominus last night from liujunling87_5.
Wonder what I will get sent? I'll keep you updated once they reach English shores.

Who do you file a complaint with these days when you get scammed? eBay or PayPal?

It’s def not a hacked account the guy I got scammed by is still selling stuff & has racked up 30neg since I got ripped off & has sold 10more of the same item!

Then when I came here gave a heads up after I saw someone else with the same guy do it to him! Now it’s been one after another of good sellers going bad with a 99-100% of positive feedback pulling the same scam of sending a small package with bad tracking numbers!

so I know it’s not their accounts got hacked! I just wish we knew what was going on! I wish EBay would suspend these guys accounts already! As it’s got to be costing Ebay & PP mad money!

Maybe but that’s a lot of sellers pulling the same thing and I bet all of them don’t use the same distributor? I don’t know for sure I mean it could be possible but there is how many ppl that have gone bad in the last what 2-3mos I know it’s more then 10 guys! If it was like 5 I could def see it but 10+ it seems very unlikely that they all got hacked! Who knows it just sucks!

It's a really weird situation I want to add on my report of seller going to the dark side (liujunling87_5). 3 months ago I placed a 5 item $300+ order that was delivered just as expected. I ordered this big order after a few small ones to ease the trust in my mind. I got jipped on a much smaller $100 order now. ~$30 has already been refunded from 1 of the 2 items per my ebay refund request to the seller. I got good results multiple times in the past from him, so I am giving him the opportunity to make it right on ebay first before going to paypal and before posting negative to his reviews.

Why jip me on 100 and not 300? Why only so far, refund me part of my order but not full? Refund reply was "I immediately issue a refund. The reason was that the post office was detained by the customs over customs duties. I'm sorry" I don't get how this reply is relevant to me getting a knock off lego set tagged to both my transformer orders. In addition, the address on the package was wrong (wrong street number, street name turned into a city in another state?). Also reading the few negative ebay reviews his reply to one was "The wrong item was accidentally sent and can be resend". I got to wonder what is up here, why take the time to reply to me and refund at all if you are now in the business of screwing me/people over? Maybe others experiencing can use this info to connect some dots.
