It's so accurate it would make Challenger almost perfect

 

Prototypes often get hand-painted for showcases so people can see the figure with some paint on it at early stages. Doesn't mean the figure is almost ready.

 

I want that new head almost as much as I want Dragoon himself!  
And I'm sure I'll get the black version down the line for a decent price...

But right now I'd settle for a new pic. Box art, anything.
UT are really taking their sweet time...

Yea it does. Everyone also seems to fail to realize that Hasbros Leader class megatron already does this to some extent. Its bot mode is much smaller than the oversize knock off Voyager Megatron, yet its jet modes is just as large. Would have really preferred a KO of he leaderclass version.

 

But the leader class wasn’t as accurate to the film

 

A KO could have made it more accurate. They could have added a hinge to the wings so they folded up a bit, and made the cannon smaller. I would have preferred that too.

 

Overlooked detail: TLK Leader Megatron's backpack is actually sculpted to mimic the shield he has on the box render, though the detail is in the hollows of the wings.

It could be possible to modify the wings so they detach as the shield on a hypothetical KO, but no one cares about the TLK Leader in the first place...

 

Interesting! I'm not a big fan of partsforming shield accessories because usually they are an excuse to "not deal" with a large chunk of the alt mode, but I still find what you said interesting.

I liked that figure, but ultimately I chose the voyager to keep when I did a collection purge because he was more posable and scaled better. The leader has an awesome awesome jet mode though. I almost kept it for that fact alone.

Anyway, Dragoon should beat both of them in every way except proper size, since he's so big  

 

I'm with you on that one. The only thing i feel like the Voyager does better is the cannon.
