SW prequels = As I've gotten older I've come to realise that my real underlying issue is that I never actually cared about the backstory for any of it.

I was carried along on a wave of hype for the first movie or so but once Yoda started Super Mario-ing around the screen in the second one and the cinema I was in burst into spontaneous laughter I knew it was never gonna be the same and I stayed on autopilot for the remainder of the trilogy, watching but not really caring.

Years later and even the visuals aren't aging well, all the lightsabre fights look more like Strictly Come Dancing:Jedi Edition than people trying to kill opponents with laser swords, far too much unnecessary pointing and twirling and flipping.

Seeing the Jedi en masse was disappointing as their powers seemed limited to a bit of telekinesis, Force pushing CGI redshirts and the odd super jump.

Most of the time they were sat in a circle talking and not acting and then when the shit really hit the fan Mace Windu had the bright idea to suggest they tell the Republic they can't use the Force properly.

With a number 2 like that it's no wonder Yoda fucked off to Dagobah and advised Obi-Wan to live in a desert :D

I'm not sure about the soft goods/fabric on the mezco figures, but the face sculpt on that Gambit is superb.

"Doot", a shitty, cringy meme in the name of "Spooktober" that I should probably be banned for referencing.

Just absolutely lovely. Thanks again mighty Kapow.

The newest wave of awesome small scale toys I've made a deal that I can only buy the repaints. So Black Whisky Jack Wheeljack, Barricade, and I've got my eye on that weird yellow taxi Ratchet and the Shockwave Jazz repaint. I'd love if they did that in red as Zoom-zoom.

A friend recently got Mezco's Cowboy Wolverine and he says the clothing pieces are pretty good, but regular clothes are usually easier to do well.

My concern for characters with jumpsuit type costumes are that they'll be much like their 1:6 scale counterparts and the fabric will actually restrict the joint movement on the underlying body.

The newage barricade looks amazing. I’m seriously tempted with their toy deco Megatron too (their prowl and jazz are candidates for toy of the year for me).

Are you fellas receiving notification emails from Kapow for Omega?

I' haven't Pre-ordered him myself but I'm hoping that the cell shaded Siege OP isn't too far away either.

Yup, plus a couple of fellas in the Sightings thread to boot. I'm still wondering about me Zetars though, I believe they were due in at ID this weekend and was hoping Kapow might get theirs about the same time, though I expect ID may get 'em in first.

Revenge of the sith. Definitely the best of the three. Anakin seems to be better acting, and it does feel like anakin and obi wan are good friends. This all helps us get a feel for how much anakin has grown in power and confidence. The cgi is generally really good, i love the design and voice of grievous, and it's an all together enjoyable time with some great moments of dispair that the music plays up. Ian mcdiarmid is clearly having fun hamming it up when he goes full emperor and the movie gave us the nnnnoooooooooooo button.

Palpatines motivation seems to be to have the sith rule the galaxy and bring it under peace and order. The batttle at the start is to just grab the chancellor. No landings, no invasion. Just grab him and run. Which is a terrible battle plan. I can only assume sidious told grievous and dooku it would be a simple thing to do to convince them. Basically lie.

Overall, these movies, while being far from great, are a lot more enjoyable than i remember and i thank everyone for indulging my rambles and the little diversion these last three days. Normal robits business will resume.

So if I was to sell prints of these at TFNation next year (without the watermark of course) would anyone be interested?

Slightly worrying that Cromar and Zetar are showing up before Lancer.

Unfortunately if you're up for the Cel Shaded fellas looks like there's been another Hasbro UK bump in the road...

On issue 250 of xmen and 55 of xfactor so just getting into that 90s goodness

No bots for me for a while, partly due to nothing tickling my fancy and partly due to buying a carpet and a laminate wood floor.

Only exception this month is mech fans magnus which I missed delivery by 5 minutes this morning..... typical but at least I have him to look forward to

Got some cheeky Ko lego xmen coming too.. Naughty me
