    Morning all.

Got the FansToys Blurr last night. He's.... interesting. I have the Unique Toys one and they both are strong in the other one's weakness areas. Ultimatey I think the FT one looks nice with Movie bots, but the UT could be a great fit for a Rebirth-cast line-up. My fingertips are sore from changing the FT.

My TF activity these days is mostly just scrutinising my e-mails to see if Flame Toys Star Saber is in stock yet at the good ole Kapow warehouse. I'm thinking centrepiece of collection for that bad boy!

Got the 3rd season episode 'Chaos' on just now. It's great. Season 3 ftw.

    Got 2 packages this morning,

The first had Iron Factory Helex via TFS Express which I'll be opening later

The second had the following Marvel Legends via my pal Rick in the States,

    vintage wave brown costume Wolverine
    vintage wave Vision
    Sasquatch left arm
( I sent him the cash for the full figures as he could get them cheaper and he gave me the Sasquatch arm as he wasn't getting the rest of the figures with the other bits )

He also said he was going to put a couple of extras in 'cos I've helped him with getting Dr Who figures several times over the years. They were,

    Mantis BAF
Nebula in the blue costume from the first GOTG movie

Mezco Lockjaw finally goes up for pre-order! :) :) :)

Nice to see they made his tuning fork light up and the Black Bolt accessory isn't bad. Will likely be my first Mezco purchase unless I also get Gambit which is looking increasingly likely as the recent ML one isn't very good.

I was talking to one of the employees in Forbidden Planet this morning and they said that they’re expecting Siege Wave 5 in the next two weeks at least, definitely the micro and battle masters.

I’ll keep an eye out for those that want them who aren’t in that area (Coventry).

I think that in the UK wave 5 is likely to be a sudden shadow release and they will just show up unexpectedly between now and January.

The brown vintage Wolvie is awesome. I've been trying to put together an Outback-era X-Men team

    Original black costume Havok
    Brown costume Wolvie
    The recent Dazzler vintage figure
The *old* Longshot figure (I wish Hasbro would do an updated one)
    80's Storm

Realised it's very doubtful that they'll ever do a British Betsy though :(

Gambit - I went with the Revoltech. It's a pain to pose but it looks fabulous. The Marvel Legend looked really weird to me.

So all this Star Wars chat got me watching RoTS scene 1 last night. In the cinema I remember it was woah, epic space battle. But actually, it's a big WTF...

In a stunning move, the fiendish droid leader, General Grievous, has swept into the Republic capital and kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine, leader of the Galactic Senate.
As the Separatist Droid Army attempts to flee the besieged capital with their valuable hostage, blahblah

Like, WTF did Grievous possibly think that would achieve? Supreme Chancellors are disposable items, just promote the deputy. What is the point of the giant separatist fleet? The only use of those capital Droid ships is to deploy ground forces, which they didn't, at all... If it was worth kidnapping the dick (clue: it wasn't), a quick Zam Wessell type in & out could have done the job with deniability and no capital at risk. Just stoopid. And WTF is Count Dooku even doing there?

In robot news, the paint job on the GT-R Fort Max is lush and I am surprised how high the quality of the doll is. The robot mode legs are pretty meh, which seems to be a curse across alternity. Makes me realise how good we have things with generations these last few years.

    I hear you bro!

Up until 2017 Mrs. Boc had never actually watched a Star Wars movie. Shes watched them all bar the prequels. But we've agreed to watch the whole series in sequence before episode 9 drops.

The Prequels aren't great movies, but to mirror the sentiment shared by a few on here, that hasn't stopped me enjoying them. I quite enjoyed Revenge of the Sith. although I haven't watched any of the prequels or Return of the Jedi in about 10-12 years. So I'm quite looking forward to watching the whole shebang.

Let's be fair, Ben Burtt and John Williams are a huge part of the reason SW is so popular. There's a reason they both have Oscars (as does Lucas' wife for editing A New Hope), while George himself doesn't.
Although one day Ben Burtt has to answer for the Willhelm scream, that is so overused now.

Ah, Zam Wessel. When you hire Jango but he outsources to a shapeshifter who has such little imagination she outsources to a droid, who outsources to two weird worm things. So dumb.

Because of building the LEGO Wipeout AG Systems ship, I may have stayed up all night re-downloading and re-discovering Wipeout HD on PS3.

    And it was fantastic.

So for those keeping score hanging on for a last lady limb, latest from ID toys on Lancer is "next week" but also "hopefully". *Sigh*
Anyone know if we're still on for Omega from Kapow over this weekend/next week, or has the delay in Italy pushed back his arrival from today? (To be honest if I were in Italy right now, I'd probably chill out there a bit longer myself!)

Good news, with appropriate expectation management, about Lancer. No dispatch note from Kapow, but the day isn't too old yet! If those two get sent out it'll only be Barricade and Smokescreen in the release ether. Someone is conspiring to keep that headsculpt from me.

And so I end Impactor week with a recreation of that last stirring war cry. No, it's nothing. I just caught a little something in my eye is all.

It's fine with me if omega is delayed, as long as I know he's on the way :D

So 13 days until Halloween folks. I'm committing to posting a pic of one of the scarier looking bots each day until then! Feel free to join me if anyone wants to get yer spook on!

So to kick off, Prime Deadend. Eerie green light piping, permanent scream, ghoulish Halloween colour scheme... You know he does the mash.

    @Imperator,
Mezco Lockjaw finally being confirmed is probable enablement on the ML Kamala Khan :D

    @CaptainButtocks,
Due to not having read many X-Men comics (yet) I'm not familiar with that team but know most of the characters via various figures. I think a British Psylocke would be a great UK Exclusive and another go at a classic Longshot would be intresting to see.

So far my X-Men team is mostly cartoon based although I've only seen bits of that...which will change when that Disney channel starts as it's apparently going to be on there.

    Professor X
    Beast
    Wolverine
    Nightcrawler
    Storm
Colossus (Not actually got this yet as I'm waiting for the 2-pack to ship with another order)
Cyclops & Jean Grey (Will be arriving in a set with another Wolverine in December)

Revoltech Gambit works well with ML figures, my pal in Oxfordshire decided to do the same as he felt the hair on the recent ML figure was reminiscent of Mr Whippy style ice cream :D

That figure's not for me as I don't know as I'd have the patience to work with it to get a nice pose so I may go with the Mezco as I'm not fond of the ML one either.

Not sure who else I'll get for the good guys other than Rogue if they rerelease the last one as prices are now a bit on the silly side and I'd like a new Pyro and Toad for the Brotherhood lineup.

Isn't he canonically and "Energon Vampire" to boot? Or am I misremebering?
I'm a little antsy about any pre-orders due this month turning up before Hallowe'en for...reasons.
You might be alright in NI though! ;)

Plus the wife has booked us into a sustainable living workshop over the weekend, which I'm not all that keen on going to. Pure wrecked after the week I've had.

    (did somebody say wrecked?)

A quick glance at the TFwiki tells me that the ROTF verision was indeed an Energon Vampire, while the Prime version something of a dark Energon mutant or some such. Good memory Chris. I certainly love his screaming face OF DEATH

I'll believe the NI safety hype if things progress the way they plan.

There was a loud bang near our office this morning and everyone in the office seemed worry it might have been a bomb going off (and related to the B-word), I think it is safe to say people are feeling the fear.

Nice one. Nothing for me just yet, but hopefully there is a dispatch notice over the weekend.
