Any notable differences between MP13s reissue and the first release of Soundwave? Plastic quality, joints? etc? Wondering if I should bother with the new reissue.

I feel like this has been out for a while now. Have they started to discount it or not yet?

 

It's weird that they trickle these out. Don't they, for instance, store all of the Devastators in the same place in the warehouse? Or are they finding some in the rafters, broom closets, file cabinet drawers, underneath the bathroom sink, etc?

You can't discount what you don't have.

I've seen Soundwave twice on shelves and that was more than a month ago. Never saw it or the cassettes since, and this is spanning 4 different Walmarts.

If it's in a Walmart bathroom, are you sure you don't want it? It might come with all sorts of exclusive surprises.  

 

I'm seeing full shelves of just Soundwave in some stores, and full pegs of just tapes in others.

 

Not in CA, home of the scalper. I had to leave the state just to find the cassettes. Utah was a gold mine for Transformers. All the toy isles were fully-stocked in the middle of the day, and I'm talking Marvel Legends and DC figures, too! I never see that here in CA. Only swap outs and thrashed packaging.

 

Swap outs and trashed boxes just sitting out in the open? Luxury! I have to march uphill both ways to the next state over, ruin the toys myself, and fraudulently return them to a local store, and _then_ I can find swap outs and trashed boxes...

 

Same here, but I did finally touch lucky on a whim, must have just put out a case of SW so I got a minty one and let the mostly mint but not quite one

 

Do you know why? It's because they know you're a scalper. When they see you coming, they radio to the toy department, take all the good toys, throw them in a go-back box and rush them to the stockroom, then put them back when you've left.  

 

Like those Hangrees Toys and Pooptimus Prime?   (You're welcome, everyone.)

 

Good grief. Stores are just now getting their second wave of stock.

He looks to be selling on par with Starscream. Only one or two let wherever I go (unless they just got their case refreshment).

 

Today I rebought a set to renew my receipts in case of a clearance. While I was returning them with my old ticket, the nice older lady behind the counter commented on the prices:
"Whoah, these little guys are $20?!"
"Yeeeah... they kinda get you on nostalgia..."
"I'm nostalgic too, but that's expensive!"
We just chuckled but then she didn't even comment on Soundwave.

Brother found a lone soundwave in the Walmart in Cedar Knolls, NJ on clearance for $25 and picked it up for me.

Nah, I'm really just jealous. Surprised to see our 1st clearance sighting so fast. What has it been, about 2 months?

 

I'm in California and Sounwave and tapes sold out within a week in many Walmarts in San Jose, Modesto, and my Walmart
during my Walmarts inventory update, I had to get my figures from another town just to make sure I didn't miss out

So, you guys finding Soundwave on clearance for $25 is damn crazy and I have to admit, makes me a bit jealous

but I hope there is lots of over stock and maybe Walmart.com will clearance them out, like they are doing with Prime and Hotrod on their site

I checked out the link and found G1 Optimus for $25. I have been so disappointed by the price of that one that I stopped paying attention. Didn't realize it had dropped so far. Finally snagged one.
