He looks pretty good, hips, knee and shoulder are ratchets, foot/ankle and elbow are friction or ball joints, like the voyager he doesn't have a left hand as it's taken up with his tail/mace thingy. The end of this is softish plastic (for the last section) whereas the other two segments of the tail are hard plastic. Also soft plastic is the three rows of spines on his back - good job as well I wouldn't want those spikes falling on me if they were hard, also probably wouldn't survive a trip to the floor if hard plastic. Right hand's fingers have some movement from knuckle but no other further movement up the digits. He seems to be a almost coppery colour in robot mode. He fits nicely with bmb grimlock (LS 05). He seems quite stable on his feet in robot mode, of course when it comes to posing he can become unbalanced. He weighs 1608g, feels solid, a bit like LS-05. More movement can be obtained at the knees by moving the alt mode claws back a little. Head looks great with the lights on for his eyes.
I'm starting to think since Spinos are bigger than T-Rexes that it might be nice to see what he looks like with the Weijiang Grimlock instead.
As for transformation, you'll be glad again that they are soft plastic spines! There are a couple of tricky parts involving the tail section and where the neck tabs into the main body - you have to slide it along to line the tabs up (if you have the voyager scorn you'll already know this). One thing with the tail section, on the voyager there are two tabs, in the bmb there is only one and its a bugger to line up. He's longer than bmb grimlock, also wider, in terms of height in dino mode it depends on how you pose them. Also shown is the switch in the back of his throat to activate the eye lights in dino mode. The pictures of voyager scorn show the two tabs in the tail/body section, in the bmb the top one is absent.

Yep, if you like the BMB OS Grimlock you'll like this as well, it's not without its flaws with the tabbing in of the tail, otherwise its a really good figure.

Not green, maybe turquoise/cyan/neon blue you can see them in this link: In a similar pose, scorn is taller (not by much) than grimlock, especially if you take the spines into contention. His body is a bit more chunky as well.
how tight are the ankles in bot mode? some reviewers said you need to carefully pose it to stand stably.
They're OK in bot mode, they are on a ball joint which is only one side (see pic) but I've not had any issues with stability in either mode. I think it's the same as any transformer as long as its balanced its fine.
I already saw two posts in Baidu that ankles broken out of the box, personally I will wait a little bit longer to see if it's a more serious problem before order this.
In the box the ankles were both tethered using a cable tie and had bubble wrap around them. One thing I did notice was the central spines were a little bent at the end where it had been in the plastic clam shell box, they're soft plastic and it looked like it hadn't been folded away properly for shipping, either that or the case isn't big enough.
I've been looking to buy one - I was wondering does he come double boxed ? A image box in a plain brown one or are they packed more than one per case ?
