Unknown build quality or actual paint apps. And if you wait, most SS bots go on sale frequently. That one in particular is $25 on Amazon right now.

This is Hasbro's Siege anniversary repaint version. You can tell because of the print and the Autobot badge. It's an official mass produced figure.

 

For a while I was getting a bit annoyed my official 35th Anniversary Optimus hadn't even arrived yet, and there was already an OS (apparently) on the way.  

 

Thx, I thought it's a KO version, sorry for the confusion.

Star Spark aka Aoyi KO Siege Sideswipe arrived today. So far so good, chest tabs securely (so it was on my Siege Sideswipe for a few transformations  ), car front is made out of die cast. I'm a bit concerned about these tiny pegs on legs that tab into "backpack" part of robot mode in vehicle mode, these seem to be too tiny. Wheels do not line up perfectly, left front wheel in vehicle doesn't touch surface  . The plastic on shins, especially on these black panels, feels a bit too thin. I don't remember if Siege Sideswipe had paint on taillights, this one has  . Head is on the swivel, knees and feet (forward articulation) are waay too loose  . Size wise, he almost scales with WJ KO Stunticons (I'll post pics later), coincidentally, accessories seem to be swappable, at least KO Breakdown can hold Swipe's gun  .
I've ordered with retail box, it arrived in perfect condition, Im amazed  .

I was a bit afraid, they mailed me damaged BPF KO OS Siege Optimus Prime, but Sideswipe came in perfect condition. Retail box arrived in perfect condition, probably because instead of cardboard they used thick (~2cm) styrofoam, form my experience so far, the only other seller using this method of packaging is Jlkids store. Most still wrap items with bubble wrap, put them into the cardboard box and hope for the best.

 

Anyone buying the OSKO Terrorcons on ebay - I suggest you check the UK listing too as that one seems to be cheaper than the US one by a couple of Dollars.

 

If it was posted before I must have missed it, but are there any side by side shots of the real vs ko?

Like I said, he almost scales with WJ OS KO Stunticons (i suppose accessories crosscompability is coincidental, small gun fits into Offroad's hands but doesn't fit into Breakdown's, not surprisingly, none of accessories from WJ OS KO Protectobots fits onto Sideswipe (peg too thick), the same with WJ OS KO TR upscaled deluxes (peg too thin)):

So, taillights indeed are unpainted on Siege Sideswipe (bonus points for Aoyi  ). Unfortunately, Aoyi forgot to paint rims on their version. Love the red paint though, it's vibrant and juicy compared to dull and orangeish on Hasbro. There are minor changes, for example pin which holds belly part is much less visible in vehicle mode, there are tiny tabs on shins which tab into robot mode's backpack to lock waist swivel more securely in vehicle mode. They replaced gunmetal grey on air intakes with silver paint (I like this change  ), the dark grey paint on sides of vehicle mode is tone or two brighter. He'd be great, unfortunately I don't like they switched ball joint in the neck by simple swivel and knees and feet on my figure are way too loose  .

I promise, no more pics for a while, at least not until Aoyi Terrorcons arrive, but worry not, Smartlulu shipped these with e-Packet, so it will be at least 20 days (most likely around the month). Star Hound should arrive soon, but I think there are enough of his pics here in this thread  .

Got Sideswipe today and he really reminds me of why I like OS KOs. They're just wonderful value when done right. Besides looking nicer molded in white and not having the siege wear and tear paintjob, he also sports some new pegs in the legs that hold the front and back of the car together. Something that wasn't on the deluxe and gave it a little bit of wobble room that isn't on this KO. I also have AOYI Hound but didn't notice much of a difference compared to the original.
