Prototypes are done, now sanding, paint, and improve.

New parts will be up to down ramps, control room, bigger chest guns, ramps to connect main base to tracks and floor that transforms into shoulders.

And in future a vehicle drone into the other leg.

    Got mine, yay!

However, I think I've got a fairly annoying QC issue.

For the claw arm, the ratchets are widely inconsistent. One is very solid, latching in hard and making a lot of noise when you move the pivot.

The other two, however, are extremely loose. One you can feel the bumps of the ratchet but no actual movement, the other one just the slightest hint.

Because the claws are pinned, I'm really worried I might not be able to fix this. However, it does appear the back can come off.

Has anyone had any experience taking apart or repairing the claw? I went back a few pages in the thread but didn't see anything.

I totally agree. I hope they redo the Micromaster Combiner Transports. This time rather than the Micromasters just being repaints they could do some of the Micromaster combiners they aren’t doing in the two-packs.

The Transport can then get a robot mode as well as vehicle/battle station & the base/ramps on the side could integrate with Omega Supreme’s tracks too. Everyone’s a winner!

Wow, this was surprisingly easy, just a permanent red marker and now Omega Supreme has the right chest color.

Hey Everyone! Just got my New Omega Supreme in today and...Of course I get the faulty one. Can anyone help?
One of the super long Pins on the hinges for the tank mode simply missed its mark. Nothing broken or missing. Just out of place. Surly there is a fix for this? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Looks like it's the non-knurled end of the pin that's exposed, which means it's most likely the knurled end that's at the other. If you can get your hands on a small metal tool like a toffee hammer or even a folded-up multi-tool, something solid but not too unwieldy or brutal like a full size hammer, basically nothing larger than a pin hammer, you could then use that to carefully tap the pin's exposed end until you pop the knurl. Once you have that free you'll be able to slide the pin out far enough to re-insert it correctly, you may need your tool again just to apply enough force to re-sit the knurl, either by pressing or tapping it back in.

I've hammered and hammered and hammered it...The thing just won't budge.
...too bad I was so excited for this one...
Really don't know what to do. Instead of playing with him..All I get to do is try to fix him. Much to no avail.

If I had to work on that, I would probably heat up the pin using a soldering iron. This will in turn heat up the plastic that is probably gripping onto the knurled end of the pin too tightly. After doing that for several times, a minute or so at a time, I'd try pushing on that pin again. Chances are it'll slide out.

edit: also remember, you are trying to force the pin back out through a NOT straight corridor. Ya know?
So it's not going to slide out as nicely as it should.

Sorry to hear that, it must be in tight!
One thing you might want to try before solder heat, or instead if you haven't got a solder gun, is using some form of small pliers to see if you can rotate the pin to break the knurl grip, or holding the knurl end over the steam coming out of a boiling kettle's spout then trying again whilst it's still mildly heated?

Whelp. When all else fails, do it yourself!

The claw is SUPER easy to take apart. A single screw holds in a plastic "Washer" that holds everything in place and slots onto a cross-bar. Then there's a ratcheting piece.. a single ratchet. It provides tension for all 3 claws and the rotation.

This ratchet is screwed down pretty hard, but it seems the pieces do not actually lock down firmly.

As a result, it -appears- that the tolerances on the claw's ratchet pieces is what is important. I think they might slightly be further out than they should be due to the pinning process, and thus not engaging right.

This looks like a piece that could be replaced or upgraded fairly easily if need be.

I got my Omega yesterday, he's amazing...but just one small issue that is annoying me.

He's got a smudge of something (glue?) fogging up the side of his interior faceplate. I know I can take care of it easily enough if I can get in there, but I am not having luck getting the faceplate off and I don't want to break it.

Has anyone taken the faceplate off with any luck? I took the screws out of the head but nothing budges, I think it's all glued together.

    Any advice definitely appreciated. Thanks!

I did, as did these fine gentlemen...

Incidentally, I used a tool meant for opening laptops to pry the head open.
