@doucoo: that is indeed good news Doug!

Are you still recuperating at home for the time being?

Circuitously reminds me that I picked up Banzaitron off the shelf the other day where he has been for some time, and within minutes of each other both feet had snapped at the ankle joint without barely being touched. Nothing that superglue wasn't able to fix fortunately, but hardly ideal nonetheless!

going to work but resting at night and taking it easy, well as easy as I can with 2 young boys.

just need to get my kidneys to 100% and then hopefully I can come off the blood pressure tablets.

such a relief but cannot believe how tired it has left me. ah well, nice food to build me up! lol

Yikes. That'd be the one based on the ROTF mould, yes? I think my ROTF Bludgeon had a minor snappage some years ago, but I can't remember where now. Like yours, mine is just resting in a drawer. I'll probably bring it out if/when a bigger Thunderwing comes out, so I hope it's still in one piece.

Me: It's a good job I stopped buying into needless bollocks I'm only ever going to instantly regret.

Also me: NEEDLESS BOLLOCKS, GET IN MY FUCKING MOUTH RIGHT NOW.

Don't know if you have seen it on the boards here, but there is apparently an issue with the ROTF Bludgeon whereby the plastic/rubber used in the tank treads literally melts away the harder plastic used on the rest of the figure where they come in to contact. Old news apparently, but something I only just read about and might have something to do with the snappage?

Possibly not, the figure is also notorious for *Checks notes*...the stock larger sword handle snapping off the hands' thumbs, as well as suddenly-snapping ankle joints and Mech Alive femurs at the knee! Primus bless @Ottertron for taking mine off my hands, the RELIEF!

    Oh, preorders and stuff?

I -finally- paid off a massive CC purchase from this past summer. Good thing to get some collector items out of the way but never the f*ck again am I doing multiple high end preorders with so close pay off dates.

On the radar? I have one fully paid PO for a macross accessory set coming in very late December, and Fanstoys Goose paid for in terms of a deposit. Also have the deposit for a FT Roadking but I think I'm overStunticon-d in the past year. Might just cancel and call it a day.

Bar those items, no other figures PO'd. Think I'll do one more Macross item before the end of the year, but unless it's a jet or high-end jet collectible that transforms I don't think I'll splurge the cash for it.

As somebody said last week or so, the days of me spending over 200 quid on figures are long freaking gone. And with "Halloween" potentially coming into play [still think we'll have a "Halloween"-ness Halloween] it'll probably mess up prices of figures and other things quite a bit.

Bit of a Butterface for me but an excellent and ambitious design that fell a little short in execution, and, it turns out, longevity.
Classical Samurai sword stowage is great, as is the Mech Alive Tanto deploying but if only they could have made the sword fit his hands without breaking too!

Rotf bludgeon has it's issues, but it's part of that whole 'lets try everything crazy and see what works' phase from hasbro and i love it. I've been lucky with the thumbs so far, but he has had a tread break on me.

That's great news! Fingers crossed for your recovery.

The siege tetrajet mould. I don't know. There's something about it that just doesn't click with me in person. So I'm sat here playing with galaxy force starscream and it occurs to me. Three of this guy done up as the rainmakers would work wonders. He doesn't have the long wings nor the greebling of siege in robot mode, so would be a lot easier to paint, and the thrust and dirge versions should be easy to get a hold of for a good price. Hopefully. I haven't looked. But it's something to ponder on...

Aaaah, you bugger @Recon734 !! I only ever see Madlaw for sale when I'm short on cash. Grrrrrr.

Saw that film a few months ago and very much enjoyed it - Sam Elliot, it's a given really innit - but it was absolutely not quite what I expected, given the title!

He stands next to Banzaitron amidst his people and DOES NOT MOVE!!

Rough assemblage of Clench with a temporary Skyquake noggin!
