Perhaps it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I'd like to see the constructicons done in g1 colors as a giftset, love the standard figures and designs but I'm focused more on generations stuff now, so that repaint job would be just enough to cinch me getting them.

 

I'm of two minds about what happened with that mold. On one hand, I think it could be a holdover from AOE, but it's otherwise extremely accurate sculpting wise (in a way a lot of Studio Series figures are), so maybe it was a newer mold based off newer design approaches. I'm pretty sure the only Prime figures to have the new forearms were Takara-only remolds, like Caliber Prime.

I'd be happy to see another stab at the design, but I do think the TLK Voyager got pretty darn close, especially for how cheat-y the CGI model is. It especially pops with the SDCC version. I think the main thing that could be improved is just the hood of the truck being a solid backpack. If that could be broken up or shifted elsewhere I think he'd be close to perfect.

Very true! I also realized I am missing Canopy and some of the other minor robot appearances from TLK. I can't really claim these are too obscure when I included DOTM Garbage Truck!

Could definitely see those DOTM redecoes or reissues down the line. Maybe that's how they get Frenzy out, with a DOTM Barricade? (Even if that makes little sense)

 

Oh yeah, Roadbuster's original toy wasn't decked out in guns. Well now I'm excited for the SS version. Not sure I'll buy yet since I don't have a big connection to the Wreckers, but I'll keep my eye out.

Oh dang, I forgot SUV Soundwave. I'd go for that. Deep Desert Brawl as well, now that you mention it. And once we get Blitzwing, seeing Seeker repaints would also be welcome.
I also like the idea of doing G1 repaints for the characters (red Ironhide, etc.). And why stop there; once we get a Sideways, give me a purple and yellow repaint for some Armada goodness.
And I believe I mentioned this a while back, but when they've exhausted the movies, I also wouldn't mind them branching out into the video games. I've always wanted a figure of this guy: Combaticon Warrior - Transformers Wiki . Along with some others.

 

I don’t like all the kibble on him but I am OK with it considering what they can work with for $30. I’m more concerned with the lack of ankle and wrist articulation. I think remolding the forearms would be a perfect opportunity to give him some much-needed wrists for sword poses. Reworking the ankles would involve reworking the whole way the legs transform so I don’t know if that’s feasible. They could also give him better weapons like a bigger sword and a transforming shield. Basically I’d be happy with a TLK Drift-level reworking if that’s all they can afford to do. Of course a new voyager mold would be awesomer too considering the TLK voyager is too big to scale with SS at this point.

 

Studio Series continues to be one of the most comprehensive toy lines Hasbro has done. The Wreckers?! C’mon this is awesome!

 

ive been thinking about the wreckers and for some reason i cant shake the feeling that Topspin will be in the next wave.

Leadfoot however i think will be the exclusive deluxe for 2020 either target or it will be the first for the relaunching toys r us.

Why well i cant put my finger on it its just something i could see happening unless topspin is in the same wave as roadbuster.

 

Here's a twist, maybe Leadfoot is the un-announced SS48 exclusive.

 

Doubt anything will be a toys r us exclusive since there's only 2 locations opening so far
If anything leadfoot will a target exclusive since his hood is a target symbol
Unless hasbro does an exclusive repaint like in dotm

 

I didnt mean brick and mortar exclusive i mean online exclusive jointly run by both Tru and Target so both are selling it online so if one doesnt have it the other will

I never asked for SS jeep Bee, I never even thought about him getting a figure... But somehow, I'm quite excited to see him! I think it'll be interesting to see a movie Bumblebee figure who doesn't transform into a flashy Camaro. I do hope he isn't a remold of SS18 Bumblebee though, the jeep Bee design deserves its own mold!

 

my hope for jeep bee: a figure with articulation and accessories on par with ss-18 with a more screen accurate appearance this time

I have yet to see an original SS mold that has been exclusive to any given store, so I highly doubt that Leadfoot will be exclusive to a specific store.
