Wouldn't Seawatch's ability cause 5 extra flips when you add the 2 extra flips you get from usually flipping a white icon?

 

Remember that the currently wave and Siege 2 are just taking the toy artwork. The next wave is rumored to be non-toy based so you may get back into the artwork depending on the direction they take.

So far, all the art you do like from waves 1 and 2 has been a mix of new art, art from the old Legends game, and toy packaging

 

I dunno, I like it. I like that we got a visually cohesive artstyle with new art now that we used up a lot of the old legends game stuff. I like the toy artwork with the emphasis on the highlights and purples and reds. But it's all personal preference.

You brought up an interesting point though. "If it isn't broke, don't fix it" is not a viable concept in TCG's. The business model demands iterative changes and improvements to keep people buying product.

The plethora of black pip cards does not have me excited. I'm sure it will make sense when I build a ___ Patrol Team deck but until I get everything in front of me, I'm just not seeing the appeal.

 

I'm with you there. I think it's more of a necessity in limited formats.

 

SoundBlaster is a surprise. Not sure if I'm onboard with him. I do like Apeface's uniqueness.

 

As always the card art is immaculate and gorgeous. No way for me to play the game, but still.
