I don't belong in this fandom at all because every one of my opinions are on the extremely unpopular & hated side. I think the minibots should be officially upgraded to normal size & the whole "mini" thing abolished once & for all. I think an A-10 being the same size as a VW Bug is the dumbest fucking thing. I think the Coneheads look stupid & they should have normal heads like their toys, original box artwork & instructions. Rumble is red & frenzy is blue. Cartoon accuracy sucks because the cartoon was poorly drawn by a bunch of people that didn't really give a shit & had no idea the franchise would become as successful as it did. Majority of the 80's cartoons & toy lines crashed & burned. So they were probably just there to collect a paycheck. That's why there are so many mistakes & inconsistencies in the animation. Wheeljack had the coolest looking head/face out of all the Autobots & they ruined it by giving him eyes. G1 Bumblebee's toy face is a million times better than that stupid human face he has in the cartoon. And Rodimus Prime is AWESOME! Killing off Optimus was the best thing they ever did because it's a war & leaders get killed. They talk about a bunch of leaders before Optimus but we never get to see any after him. A leader dying is realistic because they're in a war, Megatron is ruthless & the Autobots probably need new leaders quite often. Instead they made Optimus over powered, godlike, indestructible & we're never going to be able to see a different leader in charge. And if you look at Earth, you have continents, countries & cities. Different governments, different cultures, different climates, different religions. I think having 1 supreme leader for all Autobots is stupid. They should have a bunch of different leaders at the same time all over Cybertron just like we have here on Earth. Optimus should be the leader of one faction of Autobots & Rodimus could be the leader of a different one all at the same time. Plus a bunch of others too like Dai Atlas & Ultra Magnus. I hate how the fans shit on Rodimus all the time. I love both Optimus & Rodimus. And they both have a place as leader at the same time if you stop looking at Cybertron as 1 small city & start looking at it as a massive planet. Instead of just Optimus there should be a huge government. And having more factions than just Autobots & Decepticons would also be a huge improvement. Why not have Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, Predacons, Vehicons all at the same time? I'm sick & tired of the same old boring formula.
Personally, I always found Rodimus to be a much better character than Optimus. One thing I hated about Fight or Flee is how out-of-character he is compared to the other episodes, which is why I consider it the weakest season three episode (along with Only Human and The Return of Optimus Prime). I was never invested in Hot Rod's story in the 86 movie because all the good stuff was cut off, and I feel the celebrity voice actor just doesn't leave an impression. But in season three, I felt he was cast perfectly and you get to relate to him in episodes like Burden Hardest to Bear. Every person in the world has been under pressure at some time in his or her life, and that's what made Rodimus more real for me. He just felt like one of us with all the constant pressure and doubts he had, which is why the character still resonates with me.
I agree with most of your likes, except; 1- Rumble is blue and Frenzy is red. 2- Optimus Prime is loved by all, I do not care if Rodimus never existed (I do like Hot Rod). 3- Not in your thoughts/list, Megatron should always be a gun. I took him to school in Kindergarten (I know times are different).
I love Rodimus Prime. I also think that anyone would have a chip on their shoulder of feeling unworthy having to fall in the footsteps of the greatest survivor leader. I love that Rodimus wasn’t perfect like OP.
I like Rodimus Prime, but I accept any critic for him by other people. In fact, I did critic him oftenly, especially in memes way. But it doesn't mean I hate him. It's just a way to understand more of him.
