what KO Cybertronian alt mode Optimus primes are out there? I want a good option to make into an SG prime, and almost no Cybertronian shape designs are in SG colors (Wfc notwitstanding... he's too kibbly anyway.)

ideally i can find a beast hunters, striker manus, FOC, or War Within style design worth getting that I could repaint... (titanium series 6" could work too if there's such an option)

 

But really, can't we just answer it again? Why create a whole culture of calling people out for not checking the entire history of this thread instead of just asking one simple question? You're creating the same amount of thread clutter by nagging (if not more), and it's just as easy to answer the question.

I don't want this to become the kind of place where we're berating people for asking an easy question. It's no big deal.

I really don't understand the appeal of that statue at all. What's even the point of having an Arcee "design" that just looks like a lazy cosplayer in a painted bodysuit?

I don't really understand the controversy, either. I mean, relative to just about any female character statue on the market, it's not especially hypersexualized or "hentai" The pose isn't pointedly degrading, and the proportions aren't grotesque. The 'exploitation' is mainly just inherent in the idea of taking a Transformer and making it look like she has a 'hot' human female body.

But then, that brings us back to the question of 'why?". Why would anybody who likes Transformers like something that looks like this?

I realize there's a weird segment of the fandom who don't actually care about toy robots, and just like to imagine TFs that look like sexy humanoids with some panel lines drawn on their naked bodies, for the sake of their fan-art / fanfic wanks. Again, I don't get it... but people are strange.

Hm. Well. That's certainly not a redeco I would have expected.

I'm kind of disappointed. It's just so... boring. It doesn't seem to really reference anything from what I can see. AND it has even MORE of that ugly blue colour I hated on the first set.

A unified paint scheme could definitely be cool on this mold... even a predominantly white one. I'd probably be a bit more positive if not for that white-red-blue motif.  

Thanks to being a Marvel kid, I have always subscribed to the view that Shockwave should be as big and powerful-looking as Megatron. This is a guy who takes on all 5 Dinobots at once (and usually takes them down). So I find that this version is too puny, even in comparison with his fellow Siege figures (who are all on the small side). Otherwise, it's a very nice figure.

Pretty consistenly here in Canada, POTP Deluxes were $20, and Voyagers were $30. With SIEGE, that jumped to $30 for Deluxes and $40 for Voyagers... a pretty hefty bump!

Yeah, I kind of had the same feeling. Especially since they only really seemed to run with that theme for one year. Kind of pointless, really.

I don't know why we're discussing it here. But I agree. I wouldn't classify this as hentai at all. I think it's tacky and kind of dumb, but otherwise sort of benign - relatively speaking, of course.

Since striker manus is within your interest, there is actually an exact KO of striker manus, made by legendary toys, complete with the armanents bonus.

 

But is he easy to repaint into purple yellow green and gunmetal? Or would that be a pain to do, because if he'd be a pain, I'll keep looking, unless I found a good price.

I hadn't seen the post nor had I seen these things before.. I just thought it was odd.

 

I got one of those too, off of aliexpress a couple of weeks ago. It looks great. The hips on mine are a little too loose for my liking, and I want to get it a different head. I think the head looks better without the sticker, lol.

The treads are really neat. I haven't seen those on building brick toys before (I don't look at those very often). One of the axles on each are a bit too tight to properly roll on mine.

 

I stopped watching the review when they admitted that the individual modes don't transform.

 

To be honest when I saw it as a grey scale I thought that it looked slim, feminine and less clunky Gynoid than some fembots can look, I also liked the shoulder kibble looking like little hen night angel wings and her car mode is better than some I can mention.

I think I'd prefer the option of a more half-wet suit halter top with less cleavage - but the bare belly doesn't bother me and Arcee's had a Belly Button before so that is nothing new. I do think it's a tiny bit expensive. But i'm not ruling out buying it - I also think the Windblade is pretty good too - a bit less sexed up than the Arcee and since Windblade is already very girly Cheesecake shaped anyway it suits her.

It's not at the top of my list but neither is it at the bottom of it - I look at it his way if I can buy bayformers that look like an explosion in the knife draw then I can buy something a bit more curvatious too. It's just another style of Transformer like Rescue Bots, Beast Machines or Transtech.

Heck lets be honest if the same company made Blackarachnia they'd barely have to change her as she already looks like a Pole Dancer as it is.

I think It's not unfair to say Blackarachnia is Sexualised - but she's hardly the only Transformer who is - Knockout so very much is in his own... Unique way too very sexualised too. Heck one could even argue Starscream is a bit if only as a side effect of his vanity.

But the thing is with Blackarachnia is even though she is total Cheesecake - she is also one of the best written and interesting characters in the show, where as Airazor who isn't so girly mag centrefold looking - is just kinda 'there'. There is a reason Blackarchania is the star of the Boudoir thread... but amusingly I bet that 3rd Party Knockout that is being made will be in there just as much as she is once that is released.
So heck alone what one is supposed to make about Knockout being er what he is in contrast to female sexualised imagery - it's almost like we need something like Roadbuster Beefcake to even it all out or something like that.

Besides Girl-bots don't have to be Sexy in the same way Airachnid is sexy in her own angular gothic chick way too.. yet she's also not so overtly stripperish she's more Vampire chic. One might even argue Beast Machines Blackarachnia is way more pandering than the Beast Wars one ever was. Not only as she has a huge backside from her bussel but also because she's more of a needy girlfriend trope and less of an actual character in that show. Blackarachnia in Beast Wars was much more involved in the plot and wasn't just on her own quest to recover her man.

Speaking of Blackarachnia - anyone know off the top of their head when the tiny 3rd party Rattrap and Blackacrachia are released ?

I think its very much fair to say she is. starting from just her design alone, all the way to how Takara depicted her in their legends comic

No matter the views we have on what a female character should be, Takara know the main audience is males, and they exploit that when they can. I just find it funny how its a double standard of some characters are A-ok to be made sexy, but others like Arcee? no no no no, that's wrong, how dare you!! you should fear human features of any kind!!

 

What the heck were they doing in that comic/Manga one time - shooting a mucky photoshoot or something with Megatronia's crew or something equally culturally inexplicable, including close up shots of their "Figure stand ports"... Yeah Japan. It shares the same planet as the rest of us apparently - but in so many other ways it's kinda extra-terrerstrial in it's outlook on somethings (and I can say that as I've previous studied Japanese Language), but then they likely think the west is crazy too on a whole other range of subjects.

But sexualising Robots is a little odd - at least in Blackarachnia's case she's quasi-Organic so that does provide some round about excuse that really is more of a stretch with 100% mechanical beings. I think as a rule though one should place the Takara pack in mangas under the same heading as Kiss-Players and say it's bordering on NSFW content.
