Hopefully I don't cause a riot using that kind of logic. You know how disheartening it can be to some that love to be illogical. :)

Future inventory. BBTS orders more upfront, waits until delivery to offer for sale. It's a smart marketing/PR move, gets foot traffic. There's even a chance they continue to leak out a few monthly for the next 18 months. This happened with SoC Voltron.

No, it’s not. If they had more units to sell, they’d be selling them now. It makes no business sense to tell your customers that you’re sold out and to take their dollar elsewhere if you know this to be untrue.

They sold what they bought. Stop making up nonsense conspiracies to justify your view.

Gamifying buying for marketing is not conspiracy. Nor is holding extra preorder stock for possible up-pricing at release (which, again, happened with SoC Voltron, added $100 per unit at release). If you think otherwise, you're just not paying attention.

Soooo.... You are Sid from Toy Story? ;)

Thanks a lot! I might move on to this from Revolut. They were OK for a time but when I topped the card up for the second Unicron, they charged me a significant amount.

    I think he uses a straw. :p

I too have seen it before, I think it was in one of the Almanacs too on an "advert" page

places like BBTS have extra in case of QC issues / any other issues......... and after a little while when they figure everyone has either gotten them in good condition or all problems have been sorted out.. they'll sell whats left over. This is usually where the "found stock" comes from... and its almost always at a higher price than what they originally asked for.

lets also not forget there are absolutely going to be people that cant pay when the time comes so BBTS and other places will get to sell those... the only question is how many that is.

Its actually not BBTS who would take care of QC, but rather BBTS (or hell, even you) contacting Hasbro for more parts. It's in the same vein as how Showz gets replacement parts directly from the factory then send them to you.

That’s definitely not how BBTS operates for normal retail releases. When I’ve had defects with purchases in the past, they send a new copy out almost immediately. No way are they waiting for Hasbro to provide that.

Now maybe that’s how it will work with a release as expensive as Unicron, and likely with normal retail releases Hasbro comps them any defective returns after the fact, but typically they have extras on hand to allow prompt customer service.

Yeah I know that’s how they do it normally, but I doubt they ordered an extra 50 or more purely for QC. It’s extremely likely they would just use Hasbro.

i barely even knew who unicron was and i bought it. i have a weird thing where i have to order the thing...to open it and play with it and display it. then i have to make room and usually end up selling whatever it is. I'm a GI joe guy so I would go nuts for a Flagg, but when i see other people's holy grails for some reason I want them too haha.

But i'm usually ok with selling for cost or less, because I factor in the lost money as what I had to spend to experience the thing in person.
I did the same thing with the sail barge, and I'll do the same thing with snake mountain when the time comes.

Back to unicron itself--Why does the shell have to come up over the collar?
When looking at the animated design, you can apologize for pretty much all the folds on the legs, even the backpack...
but i wish they would figure out a way to lower that backpack shell to preserve the front facing clean collar silhouette.

Nope. Being concerned won't stop it from happening.

It's true. No amount of Will to Power or Law of Attraction will keep Seymour Frishburg, grumpy-ass parcel carrier, from mule kicking your toy from the back of a moving van in front of your house because his wife served him divorce papers that morning.

    Man, who hasn't been there?

Especially when that guy's sweating losing half his everything and this jerk has to order the twenty pounds of dead weight in the awkwardly massive box.

I bet there are a lot more people who bought Unicorn with the intention oof reselling than there were for barge. There will be more supply which means we likely will not see the price increase like we are seeing for the barge.

    Not in the least.

Worrying won't change anything, this thing WILL be well-packed, and Hasbro was very good taking care of any Barge issues.

Funny thing about collecting holy grails from other toy lines. I’m not a GIJoe collector but if HasbroPulse ever did the FLAGG, I’d be all over it. It has to be at least the same size as the vintage.
