No additional sources other than the TFCon Facebook page, but it appears that he has passed. I was at the Chicago TFCon last year, and I recall that he had missed a planned appearance there due to a head injury.

I tried to see if I could find an online obituary with more information, but unfortunately it turns out that Bud Davis is a very common name, and none of the obituaries I found mentioned voice acting.

my guess is, he lived quite a reclusive life, since not much is known about him, but damn, its another tragedy, another member from the G1 family is gone., sucks he missed out on attending TFCon in Chicago last year
