Just got shipping my shipping notice and tracking number from Baba.

 

Oh man, that face still looks awkward to me with the tiny neck. I'm probably going to give him a blue eye/silver face treatment or replace it entirely if that doesn't work, hopefully working in a neck guard if it fits :/ Can't wait.

 

I watched it after they teased this guy.
After the first episode or two every episode was mainly about one of the lead characters being depressed about her non-existing relationship with a male colleague.
I stuck around for ten episodes, but it became really tedious really fast.

It also tempered my excitement for this version. I think in the end I'll just buy Skids.

But that art on the box really is very pretty.

 

I am disappointed with the anime as well. The manga is better. Won't mind reading more, but there are only 7 volumes.

 

The car scenes just look like pure sex though. I’m tempted to watch it with my vibe of watching more older shows.

The only reason I’d want this is to build up an Autobot Tokyo Metropolitan PD car squad. Which I haven’t started but is a thing I want to make.

 

90's anime in a nutshell lol. But you can probably check out the YUA movie with it's self contained plot.

 

I mostly wanted to watch it because somehow it seemed familiar. I thought I was going to catch up on some half-forgotten childhood nostalgia.

The car chases were good. But there wasn't enough story built around them or in general to hold my attention.

The first episode was about an ex-cop speeding around town to test rookies. Say what?!  

Most of the crimes had little to no backstory and the writers seemed to want to make the second female lead constantly being depressed about something (mostly her non-existant relationship with her male colleague) the selling point of the show.

I can watch office romances if something actually happens. You can write a lot of funny and endearing scenes around an office romance.
But it was a consistently recurring scenario of "he's to shy to say something. She's depressed. Their friends play Cupid. Nothing actually happens between the not-a-couple but they arrive at a comfortable status quo in the end."

In one episode she was depressed because the other female lead was going to transfer to another department.
It was the THIRD episode!!! She JUST joined the police in the first episode!  

It was this version being such a successful crossover between Transformers and another show that got me interested.
I mean : the little bike actually is a plot point in the show and I felt that was cool.
And the idea you have appealed to me.

But in the end I already have MP Sunstreaker and I don't really want to hunt down a Cordon for the price he catches.
And I kinda think Skids's colorscheme appeals more to me.

But the idea you have certainly is appealing. I hope you succeed and share some cool pictures.

And I found some dope decals that give the last two Japanese logos.

Anything that matches that style of car with those decos I’ll add to the crew. But I still haven’t bought any lol. It’s kind of a dream project but there are just some cool toys I just wanna buy.

I just realized after I get Taiho that all I need to track down is Clampdown. You may be onto something here as a theme.

 

It’s only perfected if you get the decals.

Your man @Ichibaru gave me the tip on stickers. He’s whipped up his Prowl already. It may take me a while. But I think after I start MMC’s Assaultus and I buy Saltus I think I’ll be ready. Maybe I might also get a couple + guys. So I’d expect in a year at least.

 

Don’t forget about GT’s Sarge (Streetwise) in the Japanese variant.
