Well there are the other constructicons, scrapper and overload, but we know that we’re getting those.

Uh... Hatchet, the TF4 Bumblebees, Galvatron, Cybertron Cliffjumper, Bee, soundwave and shockwave, Grindor, Ravage, Skids and Mudflap, Dispensor, the kitchen deceptions, a proper crankcase...etc.

 

I like the look of this guy, but I’m super happy with my Siege Soundwave and I prefer that design anyway, so I don’t really know If I need this. I guess I’ll just wait and see.

I’m still onboard with DoTM shockwave though.

Define worse. Official product is way more durable. Of the few 3p items ive owned, every one of them has broken or cracked in some way except for city commander. For those of us on a budget, SS is perfect. But thank god your precious 3p companies can continue their IP theft and gouge you on prices

Hasbro have proven that yes, they CAN pull it off. Just look at SS Grimlock, Megatron, Stinger, and Shockwave. Especially Stinger.
They CAN do it, but for the most they still take the lazy way out. Backpacks are lazy and honestly I feel that they are worse than shellformers. I wont apologize for or retract that statement.

But Jazz was coated in "PrEmIuM SiLvEr PaInT." That drove his cost up. That's the excuse i always heard when i attacked that particular figure. But i look at Sideswipe who includes 4 accessories and is also pretty coated and things dont add up for me. For such an obscenely small toy as Jazz i dont expect much. And stinger is fiddly as hell and looks almost nothing like his on screen version. Grimmys dino mode is gappy and barely passable. So while he lacks a backpack, the robot is the primary mode and the dino the alternate which is the opposite of what most figures do. While its POSSIBLE doesnt mean its in the same budget. So improve the backpack, now you need to pick something to lose. Even LESS paint and probably lose laserbeak altogether

 

To be fair on WW2 bumblebee, I think it was meant to be TLK as apposed to SS- it doesn’t feel like it was designed with SS in mind. In addition, the in-movie design isn’t even cohesive with itself, given that he has parts visible in robot mode for a vehicle he doesn’t turn into. All in all, I doubt they had much to work with designing the figure, so just said “fuck it, make him a shellformer that can be given a different shell if the movie people change their minds.”

Correction: It looks like those photos are comparing to HA Soundwave. I forgot how ugly that figure was. I guess I will be buying the SS, then.
