OH I love how this looks. Too bad Laserbeak looks like Soundwave ran him over. Still, I so need to get this bad sound bot for my DOTM stuff. It always annoyed me that we never got a car Soundwave in the USA. So it\'ll be nice to check him off the list of bots that were in the film.

I think he's a pretty cool beefy looking bastard from the front, to be honest. He's a bit of a fatty viewed from behind...but I'm not in the habit of viewing TFs from behind.

 

Ah TF Prime RID Vehicon....how I miss your creative storage of the top of your car mode.  

 

And if they can hopefully (I mean they have to) an actual proper Crankcase to go with Crowbar and an expected Hatchet

 

Human Alliance Soundwave looks vastly superior in both modes as does HA Laserbeak.

 

At least we get a release of Soundwave in the US, and it is in silver.

Condense the backpack, integrate it into transformation, etc. Its not that hard.
If some random 3rd party company on the other side of the world can do it easily, Hasbro has no excuse except being cheap.
I really wish people would stop bending over for Hasbro when it comes to their crappier products.

Also, its not that hard to condense it so that it won't take up practically the entire backside.

 

I'm going to stick to the smaller than Deluxe Class figure as opposed to getting this new just a step above scout class figure.

Yeah, no. The Studio Series has better proportioned limbs, plus he's painted in silver, as his og toys should've been

 

He is. Though in this case I wouldn't have minded a little inaccuracy but hey.

 

Well, the og deluxe had the entire roof section all over his back, and part of his hood section was hanging off his butt, when they clearly coud've added some hinge to help the kibble collapse a bit further. On the Studio Series, at least the kibble isn't that horrible to look at tbh

 

The color scheme is extremely dull whether its silver or not. This should at least have blue speakers. This may have better proportions, but the old HA one is more aesthetically pleasing color-wise.

 

Not gonna lie, I can imagine a deluxe Oreobot and Dispensor two pack being really good, especially if they include one of the other minibot guys

 

The sculpting and detail is gorgeous. The lack of painted detail ruins it for me though.

 

Probably an improvement over the previous deluxe (and I'll get him), but I think the painted version of the HA still beats this out. Seems to be turning out to be a surprisingly difficult toy to nail. Three passes so far and all have significant flaws.
