Remember that quake was done in titans return and we had a chance to get a needle nose but we voted for runamuck instead.

By the end of Earthrise I suspect bombshell and kickback will be made and we will all be kicking our self for not voting for shrapnel.

 

Remember that we already had Bombshell, Kickback and Shrapnel in Prime Wars.

Quake and Needlenose on the other hand never had an appropriate toy, and with Spinister appearing in siege a new Quake and Needlenose makes a lot of sense.

Spinister also lost a fanvote (apparently) so it's not impossible.

 

While I’m sure your trying to be humorous, I think it may demonstrate my point, weather your a fan of beast wars or not having new molds of deluxe insectcons would be nicer then repainting a bunch of cars to look like BW characters.

Shrapnel came before the prime wars and bombshell was right at the beginning of combiner wars, Legend class is gone time to start over, (see earthrise cliffjumper)

remember Spinister is slated for wave 5, an extra wave that was not originally planned to be released. Yes, not impossible but improbable.

 

I still don’t see how spinister fits in the earth theme, maybe that’s me, same with apeface. Maybe if they were slated for a earth rise there would be some explanation where instead of crashing on earth they fell into some other planet or the earth’s moon and are stranded there.
Also, maybe we’ll have that explanation for less earthy looking guys “they just crashed on some planet near earth and are stuck out in space” or “they are stuck on cybertron with shockwave” would that be dumb or not fit the theme of “earth” rise?

 

They don’t and they aren’t suppose to. Wave 5 is, for the most part a “junk” wave. I’m a little more incline to believe that Apeface and snapdragon were planned for earthrise because fans have been screaming for them ever since Titans return, Scorponok is coming in 2020 and is a double headmaster so it would be nice to have a few other headmasters in the line and they plan to retool both into BW Megatron and Optimus Primal to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Beast Wars.

 

New Insecticons would be nice, cybertronian alt modes would leave more freedom for better bot modes. As long as they make the bot modes nice and cohesive, I am in.

 

As a change, I’d hope for a Strika figure, as a preemptive Beast-era figure. I know it’s unlikely, but making her buff (but not as abstract as her BM appearance) with the same genderless head could make it sell well, even without character context.

Spinister looks like an earth helicopter with better colors and Apeface isn't the kind of character I could see caring if he had an earth mode or not. Plus they are in the Siege line so they seem to fit.

I'm a little disappointed with Apeface so I am excited to see Snapdragon. I keep saying it but I hope for a Chromedome.

 

Shrapnel was a contender in the WFC: E fan poll, so perhaps Hasbro are considering producing a set of Deluxe sized Insecticons figures. Hopefully all 7.

They could release Chop Shop, Barrage, Venom and Ransack at retail (because they're all different molds with different colours), and do an exclusive 3-pack of Shrapnel, Bombshell and Kickback (as they'd be redecos/retools of Chop Shop, Barrage and Ransack respectively, and have a unified colour scheme).

astrotrain-we know he was intended for earthrise since he is being repacked and has earth modes

spinister-lost the siege fan vote, his fan vote partner is in earthrise wave 1 meaning it is highly likely that spinister was supposed to be a part of the autobot heavy wave 1

apeface-scorponok is the titan for earthrise, meaning headmasters are back in earthrise in some capacity. apeface is also a headmaster and snapdragon has been hinted at, so again apeface was likely to be a part of earthrise

crosshairs-was likely originally meant to be a generations selects release. there were 11 generations selects figures released in the year with an attempted release pattern of pairs. there was also an odd release delay of smokescreen being generations selects 06 but being included in the last wave of figures despite being the 4th one known. having crosshairs be in generations selects would have made in a nice even 12 releases. the release patters was

there is something screwey behing the scenes with those release numbers. also take into account that hot shot was suspected since wave 1 on hounds box art and smokescreen had been known about for months prior to his release and i suspect that its likely crosshairs was intended to be in generations selects but got pulled and it screwed up the release schedule and pattern.

as for the micromasters and battlemasters, singe is a repaint so he could really fit anywhere, rung is new and the micromasters patrols are both new. the thing to consider though is that ratbat and rumble appear to actually turn into tapes, indicating that they were intended for earthrise as well. i suspect everything wave 5 was planned for earthrise except singe (repainted to go with shrute and spinister) and crosshairs (pulled from generations selects to pad the wave). no actual evidence of and of that supposition except with astrotrain, but it is a fairly logical analysis

 

I've been thinking about the Commander class that Catz has talked about. Now I still think my Lugnut speculation is perfectly valid, but I'm leaning more and more toward Broadside. The simple fact that his carrier mode could possibly dock with Omega Supreme's ring might be enough to justify the hint.

If Spacewarp's colors are different enough from Astrotrain's, you got my vote. Also, Energon Treadbolt would be glorious.
