Let's not forget this nightmare fuel of a polybag either... I'd genuinely like to meet the team of people that allowed this to be made.
So with all the Endgame sets revealed/released, we didn't get a single one that was even close to being movie-accurate.
Scene-wise? Closest was the Compound battle, but even that was far off from being accurate. Minifig-wise? Quantum suits aside, IM Mk 85 and Rescue. That's it. I'm sad we'll never get Endgame Cap and War Machine Mk 7. Doesn't help that they also skipped out entirely on the "First 10 Years" celebration aside from that Avengers Tower set. I'm cautiously optimistic about these $10 mech sets, since it sounds like they might replace the Mighty Micros and the quality of the figs actually looks good for Marvel. But hey, more LEGO Spiderman! Said no one ever.
I'm disappointed we'll never get the scale-mail Cap as well. At least Hasbro's gone back and released Marvel Legends based on the actual costumes.
Yeah. Still need to get that WM from the first Endgame wave but the only Cap figure I'm having is the Disney Toybox one. Obviously though there's a huge difference overall between designing a single action figure and a whole playset to include a minifigure in. Hasbro makes many more waves of 5-6 Ml figures a year compared to Lego who makes 2 main waves (1st half/2nd half of year). If it wasn't for Hasbro's licence exclusivity BS we could probably have had multiple Marvel CMF series by now. The mech sets are probably their way of off-setting the incoming DC CMF, just like how they get around with SW's licence exclusivity by including a build within the battlepack sets.
Now this photo makes me want more Scooby-Doo sets! Because of the Scooby-Doo action figures on the right in the back. But I really hope Playmobil's own Scooby-Doo licensing deal won't affect LEGO's Scooby-Doo license.
Wish we'd gotten a full-size movie-accurate Quinjet (the one in the hangar, also one Black Widow pilots to Japan) instead of the one based on the first Avengers movie that we got. Maybe if we got some more sets based on the final battle with a bigger Chitauri Leviathan and Ant-Man's quantum tunnel van, that would've been better than the Hulk helicopter set.
What I meant by "full-sized" is one similar to the Age of Ultron Quinjet. The one in Infinity War/Endgame is the same as the Civil War version, which we only got in the Civil War Airport Battle as a smaller build. If Lego ever does do a full-sized one (I have no doubt Quinjets will continue to appear in future MCU movies), they'd probably be the same price as all the other ones ($100 CAD).
I'm kidna hoping they do one with a bigger interior that costs between 100 to 150 USD (132 to 198 CAD)
