I had forgotten that Megs came with blast effects/sword. Wow! This guy might take over being my #1 favorite MP (MP29/MP29+). A little unfair as I don't have either in hand currently. So expressive and emotive. These blasts effects are beautiful!

It definitely goes a ways towards masking that void in his knees - thanks for the heads up.

One of them gave me a little scare while I was trying to turn it just now, as it was a wee bit stiff. Fortunately no issue!

I grabbed this guy with a nice discount, I quite liked Barricade in the first movie, and decided it might be neat to have him and MPM-8 as a movie mini-collection .

I’m yet to transform him, but I must say that his heft was a great surprise!

It would be awesome and I'd really appreciate if somebody added some FX and dialogue to these:

@Jdk504 Gotta ask, is it your light set up that is making your figures so shiny?

I transformed him this evening, and he really is a great Transformer. So menacing! I’m definitely glad I picked him up.

I would say yes, my lighting is bright (leds) and does make the figures look more reflective (in person you can see the figures perfectly - every detail and added shadows based on angle). Also the post processing adds to that. You can still see the many reflections in the original photograph. I just took out the cloudiness and toned down the highlights.

I have attached the original file (raw) and the processed for comparisons. Hope that helps.

I see, thanks for the insight.

Still shiny enough without the edit.

    Great shots friends!
I’ve been lurking in the shadows these last 2 weeks, appreciating when and where I could. Heck, this post alone has taken me the better part of an hour to post. Been busy with our new member of our little family! Little Penny was born 10/1 and we’re all over the second moon of Cybertron in love with her.
    Here’s a couple of pics:
8E06EA0C-BE3A-4B02-B224-9B20C2D66D9D.jpeg 6B3C9649-B331-4890-A50E-06E9B41AD2BB.jpeg I had prime in truck mode for like the last 3 weeks. Last night I transformed him in under 10 minutes (not counting the 10-15 minutes in between doing papa things).
His transform was burned in my mind and was easy enough.
    Alright, back to lurking guys!

I would be interested in hearing your opinion of him. I had him pre-ordered then cancelled and have been pondering picking him up now and again since...

    ==================

I am totally appreciating my MP seekers today!

    Starscream knows he looks good.

Without potentially derailing the thread with price point conversations, I will say that I didn’t purchase G1 MP Megs, Prime 3.0 or this BW Megatron due to my personal opinion that they were priced too high... I understand it’s a trend in the newer MP figures, and that other people are cool with the MSRP, but those 3 in particular are where I jumped off the boat.

Keep in mind that I have no set toy budget and I buy whatever I want... I just feel that anything over the $200 mark has really got to speak to me.

I ended up with a high end KO of G1 MP Megatron and never looked back... given the opportunity, I would have done the same here and secretly I’m waiting on that to happen with Prime 3.0 as well.

It’s been long enough for me to assume a KO of this isn’t coming any time soon, so when BBTS had their flash sale on him for $250 I went ahead and caved. I would have never paid over $300 for him originally and ideally I would have priced him at $180.

I like him well enough, and I was a huge fan of BW when it came out and ideally want the season 1 cast in MP form so you have to keep that in mind. My hope is that the other figures are more budget friendly, so I’m viewing this as a 1 time splurge for the line.

If you’re asking if the toy is fun... yes. He looks like he came right out of my TV and looks great on display. If you’re asking if he’s worth the current $350, for me... no, again keeping my threshold for what I’ll pay in mind. If he wasn’t on sale, I wouldn’t have bought him, and I’d probably have to recommend the same to you
