I've always felt like Fighbird was made for Transformers. You have two "Powermasters" in Fighbird and Granbird, a Prowl/Inferno/Ratchet/Jetfire combiner that looks like Optimus Prime in gestalt mode, a near-Scramble City Combiner in Thunder Baron and a Magmatron style gestalt villain in Draias.

You seem like a guy to know - is the Fighbird anime worth getting into at all? I've always been curious about Brave fiction, since I really only know about the toys due to their Transformers connection and I wanted to try watching one of the shows soon.

I really haven't watched much of the anime at all. The primary access to it is the fan subs on Youtube. I watched the first episode of ExKaiser and...can't really say it that it hooked me - even though that series is the most Transformers-esque as "police sparks" basically descend from space and imbed themselves in local vehicles to apprehend rogue "criminal sparks" that have imbedded themselves in dinosaur fossils to become "evil Dinobots" - literally, as they are Transformers Dinobots in evil colors (too bad they didn't make it to toy form). Only the main villain got a toy and he was an original toy.

Yeah. I watched the first ten (?) episodes of ExKaiser and was pretty bored with it. Made me apprehensive of trying any of the later series.

I havent watched Exkaiser but of all the series ive watched, id say Fighbird was my least liked. Just boring villains with little story hooks and very by the numbers. Dagarn is worth watching though imo. And so is J-Decker.

I second that, Fighbird is fun for a bit but wears thin.
In addition to those two recommendations Brave Command Dagwon is also very good.

Talked myself out of picking up Big Powered months ago, but seeing the sale this week for $125 on BBTS this week, I seemed to have convinced myself to add him to my POL. :p

Will definitely be picking up Shockwave Lab SL-52 Leg Filler Cannons and SL-53 Z Sword for roughly $30. I won't be able to enjoy Dai Atlas without them.

The Z sword from Shockwave Lab looks amaZing. :p

I got the leg fillers, but I'm not sure what the hurry was - I've yet to open the shipping box for this, and I've had it for months now. Ugh.

I still love my Big Powered. I only have three shelves in my display cabinet and he still claims one. I like looking at the team; they're unusual. I should put Greatshot in there with them. Despite the floppy bits and annoyances I do enjoy taking them out and playing. :D  I keep saying I'm going to give their shelf space to a group of Autobot cast members from Headmasters, but so far I haven't followed through.

Nerts. My next paycheck isn’t coming until Friday...

By the way, I would like leg fillers for my hypothetical Dai Atlas, but were there any that doesn't force you to disassemble the vehicle mode?

From reviews, you can attach the leg cannons to the bottom sides of the vehicle mode without splitting the bot in two.

I won't be separating my Dai Atlas in two, but that is an option as well if you want to split him and mount the cannons on top of the tank portion. To split him, it's a mushroom peg that just slides apart.

Here's Shockwave Lab SL-53 Z Sword if you guys haven't seen it yet.

It looks like it's a must have for maximum enjoyment of Dai Atlas. :D
