What’s awful about them? They look pretty good to me.

 

Personally my biggest gripes with Siege are the exposed bent knees and faux-cockpit in vehicle mode.

I will agree that Earthrise Screamer looks damn near perfect. We may be giving up some articulation in Robot mode, but I'm an absolute sucker for that clean, sleek F-15 alternate mode.

 

I like the new packaging.

Lol as much as I may complain about a ton of this stuff, i doubt I’ll be able to resist a lot of it. Grapple is looking especially appealing in that packaging.

Probably because it is just an upsized version of the 2006 seeker mold and still looks like it is from that era, with the lack of detail and limited articulation form that era. Every time I look at it I just think: "yup I brought that toy in 2006 and kind of got sick of that mold, I really don't want to pay $30 for a larger version of it now". I am going to be sticking with the Siege seekers for a long time.

 

It's too bad nothing gets packaged in alt mode!   I'd love to see how confused the old folk would get at the toy aisle!  

Not to say they're still not confused with the current set-up... which is really to say that these things are meant for the adult collectors, and hence the robot mode packaging.  

With how expensive these things have gotten, I'm not sure I'd buy yet another Starscream, so soon after the last.   I'm more into Grapple and other obscure characters that seldom get recognition. The display of Seekers above is truly impressive, but... yeah, I don't have the space to collect infinite copies of SS or any other character!  

 

We already will be getting headmaster with Zarak

 

If I'm getting Starscream, it'll be for the jet mode. That bot mode looks old and tired.

 

I personally hope they make a new Battlemaster Roller that is similar to (but improves) the old "battlemaster"-style Roller

Like I said... it has a nice ring to it.  

 

I honestly was only satisfied with Seekers in Seige as tetrajets. If they hadn't been those, I honestly would've disliked them. Legs are too skinny, they stand on their tip toes and the wings were too greebly detailed in robot mode. And the fact that the faux cockpit ended up on the rear.

Whereas I've always felt that the Classic Series mold was superior to most modern takes on the Seekers, aside from the issues of the wings getting in the way of the null rays and being a tad on the smallish side. Earthrise takes care of all my complaints about that mold. At any rate, I'm sure many fans will be binning the atrocious looking PotP Starscream in favor of this one.

 

Yeah, I'm really not feeling ER Screamer. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with G1 so I'm not "he has to be a F-15 jet!" but I'm already really happy with the Siege version.
It helps that in my copy, the chestplate doesn't pop off.

Grapple looks cool though!

Wow. I have all of those... except for the red one on the top middle... what is that one? Also I don't see G2 Starscream in your army.. could be an oversight...

Ah... ok. So that pic must have been taken before G2 Screamer, since he was the last of the Seekers. I don't see Nacelle either.

I never got chug grapple, but I do have inferno. Thinking about keeping him so that they are not the same figure. Anyone else considering that?
