I’m using my Siege boxes as makeshift risers for my CHUG (90% Siege really) until I can afford to spare the cash to grab some off of amazon or eBay.

Makes me shelves look hella messy currently since I was planning on getting everything in WFC but I think it’ll just be Siege since Earthrise really put me off. Hoping part 3 is the Titans Return to this trilogy and Earthrise was the POTP part.

Sure some of them look good and I might grab a few but ehh not feeling it. Tired of G1 earth now. I was hoping for G1 S3/4 and more other continuity updates (UT specifically)

I’ve got everything in Siege (as of 8th October 2019) apart from Omega Supreme, Ratchet, Rainmakers (badly want though as well as Redwing) and the wave 4 Micromaster pack I forget what the team is.

I want Selects Smokescreen and Bluestreak to complete the Datsun trio but it’ll stop there I think. Tempted to get Scorponok though when he comes out.

I have outgrown my space, but I really don’t want to give any of it up. I’ve already thinned out several lines. Time to rethink my shelving. I’m really eager to get rid of the hodge podge shelving and get something uniform going. Also I can’t stand the “shadowy recess” that tends to get created and bots in the back hidden.

I would recommend making the tough decision of displaying stuff or not displaying it. One or the other. In boxes, it's tidy, but it looks like the stock room of an amazing TF shop. Take them all out of boxes, and curate the display with some thought in terms of the collection (by generation, line, character, etc.). Pick some bright and light shelving, maybe change the lighting in it. (If you take them out of boxes, you have to store/collapse them down some place else.) Make your collection space a little space of zen.

Two things - your collection is orginized just fine. Also - and I mean this with repsect toward your collection - I think you are just trying to rub it in our faces :p :D

You've done the best you could hope for with that amount of toys in that space. Some would say you don't have enough room, others would say you have too many figures.

I totally understand the 'toy store' look with shelves stocked with boxes, it has great nostalgic value. But between that and the shelves and tubs of loose figures it's all too much for the eyes with no real focus to settle on. Negative space is also important as it allows the eye to relax, and you just don't have enough as the room is so tightly packed.

Storing toys away from view seems like a waste to some, but sometimes it can allow a selective approach, where you can cycle themes, rather than keeping a stagnant display of everything all the time. Sometimes that can bring more appreciation of individual figures as you give them a chance to shine. Consider it like a museum collection, with the vast majority hidden away at any given time.

Your work area seems fine if it is actively being used.

Overall, your room is functionally well organised. Aesthetically it's not as good and is likely to be a bit overwhelming.

Maybe someone here knows, there was a website for organizing your Transformers inventory and I can't for the life of me remember the name. I used to use that to help me cut down and better organize my collection.

The only thing I could even possibly suggest is try to put some of your loose figures in a protective case (Detolf, Curio, etc. etc.). It may help you consolidate some space. If you want to keep an open space, try risers to help make some others more visible. I used to buy the spice racks from bed bath and beyond for my detolfs (YouCopia® SpiceSteps® 24-Bottle Cabinet Spice Rack). Currently I am looking into this same thing with my current cabinet.

This winter I'm remodeling my office where my collection is and having my friend come in that builds custom closets and shelving to do A corner unit for my collection. My collection isn't as big as yours, but it isn't small. I'm almost at peak capacity.

I've been picking up these drawer compartments in the smoke grey from Dollar Tree. Flip them over and they make a decent riser for back row guys.

Honestly for an open display like that I would just go ahead and install a set of double track adjustable shelves along all the walls. That way you can make the shelves as long as you want, as deep as you want.

I've seen other people here post some great collection pictures using an adjustable shelf system, where Metroplex (or other titan figure) is in the middle and he's surrounded by shelves on all sides filled with smaller figures.

Glad I posted this, some good suggestion here. I'm always stuck between getting rid of the boxes & keeping them. For example I tossed the box the Unique Toys Sharkies came in but I want to keep the box for the Igear Shark Squadron.  I tossed all the Combiner Wars packaging but I love the artwork on the sides of the Titan's Return voyagers & leaders. I love the way they look all lined up.

I'd say trash or sell the boxes and buy more shelfs....who needs beds?

My philosophy with mainline packaging is cut out what you want to save and trash the rest. Heck even just throwing out the inserts and flattening the boxes will gain you a ton of space.

Since Hasbro stopped putting meaningful bios and tech specs on the box, I just throw the damm things out.

I've gotten a lot of good ideas just by looking through the collection showcase forum and the detolf Thread and the Not-Detolf threads in the Toy-Discussion forum.

Isn’t there posters of each of the combiners art in the combiner boxes? That should solve that problem

Edit- guess reading is tech- you said leaders and voyagers. I’m no help. Move along

I'm thinking about trashing most of the boxes. But then which ones do I keep? I also hate having all the figures loose piled together in boxes or drawers because it's a bitch to get to the ones on the bottom.

I'm not getting anything done because it gives me a headache every time I start working on it. And that's not just an expression, I actually do get a stress headache.:(

Yeah, about the boxes, there's no magic solution. You literally can't cut corners on organizing them.

Loose figures on the other hand, it's a-friggin'-mazing what you can do with those!

Get yourself some foam cardboard and experiment on some homemade custom risers.
Do you know the term "asses to elbows"? It's not a bad thing. Quite the opposite in fact. Once all your bots start looking like an Alex Milne cover, you might like spending a lot more time in front of those shelves.

I have a pair of small shelves that house my collection. I am constantly changing things and fiddling with my collection. It's disorganized, and never the same teice.
