    Yup

ETA: I ordered with in store pick up to save on shipping. Could have had it shipped one mile north to my house for $5 (or something like that)

At a Walmart looking at them today, they look terrible in person, the paint jobs are all terrible, not a single one with uniform paint, all have scuffs and errors
which is a shame because i was so looking forward to them

Megatron and Optimus look horrible. (Especially Megatron) I get what there trying to emulate but I dont comprehend the need to do it. You have natural light that provides natural shadows to the figure. Putting fake light and shadows makes it look like a bad tiger camo deco. They should have done a metallic paint deco similar to the Takara United line back a few years ago. Real life is not a cartoon. A three dimensional object doesnt need fake shadows.

Hasbro is the wrong company for this type of deco, it seems. I've seen smaller, more boutique-level companies pull this sort of look off, like that Grimlock animated statue we saw a few weeks back, that looked tremendous, but this just doesn't quite get there because the giant factory deco applications don't have enough subtlety and precision. Optimus gets more to work with than Megatron, no doubt here, but the comparison to the original version of the mold says a lot about what doesn't work due to the way Hasbro approaches manufacturing and budget limitations.

I hope the folks who like them really enjoy them, they have presence, they're just not for me.

This upholds my comment that these guys came out of the TV when I had the 86 movie vhs in to murder me.

Wish we still got metallic versions like UN-01 or TA-01. Siege prime would look awesome with a deep metallic red.

35th Prime is a pass for me. Megatron looks pretty cool though.

I'm not being sarcastic at all. I love that there's so many different opinions on these. Some people hate both. Some people love both. Some people love mags and hate optimus. Some people love optimus and hate mags. Personally, I was going to get both, but I feel like mags doesn't have enough of a pop. For me, the windows on optimus really sell the "TV / Cartoon" vibe.

I think they both look good, but I can't get that Megatron for the same reason I couldn't bring myself to get the original but could for the G2 version.... That dang cheesewheel on his helmet just irks me! I don't know why! I friggin love cheese! I love Megs! But that dang cheesewheel, dang it!!!

Ok, any thoughts (cause I am kind of indifferent at this point). I already have the original Optimus Prime, but haven't bothered picking up Megatron yet. Anyone want to sway me either way on getting cell shaded or regular megatron at this point? (not planning on getting cell shaded Optimus at this point).

For me it was the opposite. The gray on 35th Megatron looks too light. That and unlike Siege Optimus, I don't plan to get an Earthrise Megatron in the future so Siege Megatron is probably it for me.
