I'll admit that I never handled MPM04, but is anyone having any issues with transforming him? seems pretty fiddly. Don't get me wrong, I like the figure, but I can't get him all the way transformed with the instructions that came with him.

 

The base MPM-4 is pretty good. The hood alignment is kinda meh but it’s not terribly difficult to fix. The BA version looks more accurate obviously but it’s still good.

 

MPM-4 is fiddly, yes.

Nothing compared to MPM-6 though.

 

I was having a lot of issues with trying to get everything sitting right, at the very end of transformation. The entire front cab is correct I believe, but the back end of the truck was giving me issues. at this point I'm under the impression that the instructions are just missing steps or something. Might try watching Bens review of the figure and go from there.

 

I wouldn't use Ben for a transformation guide, he sometimes struggles with complicated figures and edits out his mistakes.

Here's a comprehensive video of Black Apple himself transforming it back and forward. He takes his time and shows off every little step.

 

What's the ab configuration for the mpm optimus, looks quite different from what other people have done.

 

The abs actually sit the way they are suppose to, but a few pages back shows a different way to position the headlights so they are closer to his actual abdomen.

Now I am getting annoyed with my Black Apple Prime shipment from Show Z. Still stuck in customs as of 11 days ago now. The Black Mamba Adjutant Star Scream which shipped almost 10 days later has just cleared customs…. UGH.

Because this thing has been so limited, my luck will be this gets lost in the mail.

So after finally shipping on Tuesday mine just arrived today, which I'm pretty impressed with tbh. 4 days from China to my door (UK) isn't bad at all. Gonna have a little play around and post a picture or two later.

 

So are Terry’s and ShowZ the best places to pick up this guy?

 

Does anyone have a comparison of BA Prime and the RotF Prime + Black Mamba Ironhide in their vehicle modes?

I haven't been able to find one, but in terms of altmode scale Optimus and Ironhide should be pretty much the same width, because the Peterbilt 379 and the GMC Topkick both clock in at about 96" wide.
