I've asked plenty of times and they don't have any hoods to replace it with. It still doesn't solve the problem either unfortunately. It just delays it

My fan theory BS explanation:

Sunstreaker saw the Decepticons arrive, realized they would need reinforcements so raced to the space bridge. Returned to Cybertron and got to the moon (at great personal risk) informed Prime of the situation and returned to Earth with him in the shuttle.

That or the animators were working too fast and nobody expected us to be talking about this 35+ years later

But anyway back to FT Hoodlum ....he can't hold a candle to Takara. I don't know what FT is thinking doing this guy..........but his alt mode is just plain horrible. He is fat compared to his sleek and bagged out counterpart. Just that alone is like a no buy ever for me. His robot form is also bad because he is too tall along with hulking rouge .......which is another awful looking thing. The only character they got right was Kup. I like Kup.....but he is more of statueformer then an actual playformer. None of these figures look good TOGETHER in person come to think of it ........they only look good on screen. It's like one of those situations ....where you take cartoons and try to make a live action movie. That's why the Beyverse is a complete abomination! Somehow they always find the money to make another one ......it's a tragedy!

I appreciate other people’s pics because they are fun and people are sharing their displays and experiences, which helps me decide what to purchase. Sharing is one of the true joys of collecting.

As for your love of Takara Hot Rod, that’s cool. He has a great alt mode but his pizza box torso leaves much to be desired. I keep the official one to flip back and forth. I’ll take a small hit on alt mode for a better bot any day though. However, neither of those figures are home runs.
