To my own amazement, no longer than I normally spend on a review. I was kicking myself for not starting it earlier as I thought I'd need more time, as in my head it was going to be a more complex rap rhythm, but... well it came out a lot more simple. It's still more complex poetry than Wheelie ever managed. Not that you could tell with so much modulation on his voice.

Thanks to everyone for likes, responses and comments on these reviews. I've done seven seekers and eleven season 3 Autobots, one a day except on Fridays, so I'm going to take the rest of the week and the weekend off if you all don't mind while I think about what I want to look at next, and see about getting Secret Writing Project's first draft completed. For reviews though I think I'm going to pass on doing the season 3 Decepticons, as there's only three and I don't think I have a lot to say about Cyclonus and Scourge. I might go on to the Decepticon leaders, or possibly Armada homages, but I've already done two of them so it'd be a short project anyway.

 

Just a heads up, I'm selling off my AEC stuff on eBay, mostly Japanese, all complete and nearly all mint.

I got Iron Man off a seller on Amazon as Star Action Figures ( my usual source for ML figures ) had sold out by the time I decided to buy it. Can't remember the seller off the top of my head but there's usually a few options with similar prices and I think Comic & Cocktails also still have it in stock.

Thanks for posting the info on the Impactor leg fillers. Not sure whether the paint it yourself option makes it as appealing to me but it'd only be one colour so not as easy for me to screw up so maybe I'll still give a it try.

 

This guy is amazingly poseable. I just wish he had the IDW head, and the three-pack version had this head...  

 

Surely that's enough of a connection? LSOTW is ace. I was very pleased I finished 1992/93 Euro exclusives before that came out.

 

No probs, I really like the design but for painting myself I dunno If I £12 quid with extra labour like 'em, might wait to see if Shockwave's lab step up to it, I think I'll be pondering until payday.
I've got one eye on the Matrix Workshop Optimal Optimus set on Uncle Billy's for an extra tenner I can totally load out Throne Primal including forearm guns and shoulder cannons for tiny Primal! Talk about more bang proportionally for bucks!

Impactor certainly is the star in this wave so far - it's amazing how much pop and presence a deluxe can give out... Mirage however, i can't help feeling the tooling was meant for someone else first - Slapdash maybe? he's perfectly good, but i dunno... maybe eclipsed by Impactor?

Birthday in a couple of weeks, and sorely, sorely tempted to get a Jetfire....

Sold my MegaEmpress set, so have now got some funds to buy that SS DOTM prime. And Stupid Sexy Siege Bluestreak. I blame all those enabling photos from this thread for that second one.  

Megaempress is a damn fine kit that I still enjoy, but I am of the mindset now that any big purchases must be covered by selling something else to fund it (and also to make some space) and Megaempress is just something I'm not as connected to as characters compared to anything else on my shelf. And I'd rather have that Prime and trailer, even if he does have some hollow bits (bit of paint, bit of fiddling, should cover it up).

Armada homages get my vote!!

Give in to that temptation. The hype is real.

 

Wheeloi (brum bot parlance sic.) is a god-damn menace to all living things and as such should be driven away with hot tar and pitchforks. Besides you can smell the evil leeching from the fuppets cap wearing tic tac shaped body, (but the legends TR version is great though)

 

I'd be in for either Sureshot or Slapdash. But I doubt we'll see both as they both have a lot of yellow on them.

Thing is it would be pretty brief. The full list is:

So it's a short run as it is. Since Siege has gone to Cybertron for its homages there's little on the horizon now other than the near-mythical prospect of Armada Optimus.

 

With Crosshairs due for release, I reckon Sureshot has the strongest chance of the two. But I've talked out my arse on similar subjects before ("There's more chance of getting Leaderclass Scorponok in Titans Return than Overlord" being my favourite of my less than Cassandra like predictions)

I'd certainly like to see all three Autobot target masters, but I'd get Slapdash anyway if that's the way they decided to go. Considering that Pointblank still hasn't been even hinted at, probably won't fit into Earthrise and would likely need a reshell to get the effect part nubbins on there, I get the feeling we're in for a long journey before they're complete.

So what have I missed?

Had pneumonia and pulmonary renal syndrome so been in a pretty bad way. Got a kidney biopsy tomorrow which will hopefully tell me if my kidneys are ok and if not, it will tell them what they need to treat.

Lost two stone though so every cloud and all that. I needed to lose the weight to be fair.

Missed all the chat on here but been so tired, I just need my bed after work. Still pretty shattered from it all.
