Kind of surprised there isn't a review up for this guy, so here are some pics and stuff. The original Powerdasher Cromar was the only one I had as a kid, sending away for it through Hasbro's mail-in service. I really liked the original, but he was so basic that i ended up selling it off a few years back. Kind of regret that now. Fast forward to yesterday and I once again have a send-away (kind of) Cromar! Pretty happy with this one. If you have Sixgun there are no surprises here, though the colors are quite striking, there's a good bit of paint and that head sculpt is awesome! Two down, one to go.
Out of curiosity, when do you think you will have Aragon? I haven't seen many group shots on the boards.
Hasbro Pulse has the first two, and the third one is available on Amazon in a fan vote three pack with Decepticon Impactor and clear blue Mirage releasing this month.
The Three pack has been out for ages in Hong Kong and through the stores that source from there WFC Siege Fan Vote 3 Pack: Holo Mirage, Powerdasher Aragon & Decepticon Impactor
Cromar and Zetar look good together, although Cromar could've used a little more silver paint. Still, great pair of weird-headed autobots. Certainly not a piece of TF history that anyone could ever expect to be revisited.
Having picked this guy up at Comic-Con, I was honestly pleasantly surprised with him. I think he blows Six-Gun out of the water. His tolerances are better, the plastic as a whole feels better, and I just find him more enjoyable. Definitely didn't expect the lower/inner body section to be entirely painted black, and they had the foresight to not paint the tabs. His arms ended up a little bland but it's accurate so I can't really complain. Someone did a more authentic looking jet mode for him as well and it works quite nicely. Overall a very nice figure of a character who probably will never receive another toy.
IS there a trick to make it hold together well? Im not sure im doing it right, its all kinda, bending into itself a bit.
The thighs/legs tab on like normal. For the arms, the hands grab the shoulder pegs and the shoulders attach to the leg pegs, but they do kinda pull the legs apart slightly. And it is a bit unbalanced, it likes to fall over backwards.
Yeah i decided to mod it by just having the hands fold away and flipping out the chest flaps. Looks fine to me.
Im going to get this figure next month along with 3 others I'm trying to get caught up on. I know the Amazon transformer 3 pack is now available to buy but it's $70 dollars so it's gotta wait. So seeing as you basically end up buying multiple of this same mold it's just I'm glad i REALLY like this mold. Lol
