I can't tell if you're trying to argue, or just being silly.

 

I mean he links to a video of someone explaining how wine snobs are faking it. There's been studies that show that art critics are faking it too (something about them all falling in love with the finger paintings of a gorilla or something iirc). Pretty clear that he thinks the concept of being able to tell taktom and 3p on sight is BS. I haven't really been paying attention to this discussion so I'm not sure what either of you are getting at but that's what I see here.

Yep, all in my head. Except all the various litmus tests that I've already described that all 3Ps have failed intermittently at any given time. Again, there's always tells. Even further than that, all the major 3Ps have been around long enough that their individual "house styles" have become ingrained in their productions, so they're pretty easy to tell apart from each other, let alone TakaraTomy.

It's all in the attention to detail.

I've never claimed that I'm infallible, and the specific scenario that's being described has never come up to truly put my observations to the test. But I daresay it'd be very hard to fool me from all I've seen.

Yeah, it seems like most 3P threads turn into Lord of the Flies after a few weeks without news. I appreciate people losing their mind so we can keep the conversation going though!

Wow. I didn't realize the difference in size is that big.

 

I wish I'd taken a picture of UW Devastator next to Zeta Bruticon before I sold Devy. FT Phoenix prompted the sale because it threw scale right off.

Bear in mind UW Devastator is 18 inches tall, and Zeta's is about 21 inches. The bulk difference is huge! It's because the height increase necessitates respective increases in arms and legs, size of chest and thighs, etc.

Bruticon dwarfed Devy. Core Star is about the same height as Devy. It's smaller than Bruticon or Kronos or Constructor. HasLab is adding a further 5 or 6 inches of height, and thus the respective bulk.

That's why it looks that dramatic in the picture. Core Star is about two thirds of the size in height terms, so it follows that it's two thirds the heft in the chest, arms, thighs etc. too.

That picture really does express how size is relative, and shows that whilst an inch if height makes little difference, you really start to see it once you get to 3, 4, 8 inches.
