There is something in that head of Optimus that doesn\'t resemblance him from the cartoon.

In the cartoon, Prime had blue eyes, but for his toy he had yellow eyes.

 

BTW, Rit dye might work as an alternate to paint--it's an option us gun guys use on plastic magazines.  

 

Sometimes I wonder how Has-Tak comes to a decision whether how a toy looks like, G1 Toy Color or G1 Toon Color? And why?

Mainstream-wise OP is know to have blue eyes due to the cartoon.
Yet they still injecting G1 Toy Color homages to the current line.
I'm not against homages but.. OP's Blue and Red isn't enough homage?

Unless Hasbro plans to milk ER LCOP having blue eyes down the future.

 

Or it could be a simple matter of yellow eyes showing up better on a blue helmet more than blue eyes on a blue helmet?

But dont forget the G1 Prime was a Diaclone reissue so it prob cost less to leave the paint apps etc as is, I know its just eyes but still at the time Hasbro took a punt at this selling so didnt want to put too much money on it if it didnt take off........35 years later and we still love these transforming robots.

 

yellow eyes is also marvel accurate, so the first media for transformers had him with yellow eyes

 

Ok guys, how about Optimus face, I think is a bit different from the cartoon, don't you think?

 

As everyone is pointing out, yes, the eyes are yellow not blue like the cartoon:

 

the overall shape of the mouthplate changes from scene to scene and season to season. hell one needs only look at the 3 prime faces included with mp-44

Are we able to change de plate face from this upcoming figure or not? Does it comes with this options? I saw that the MP-10 comes with multiple face plates to change...

 

Like someone said earlier, unprintable is for the manufacturer. While it won't be as pliable as other plastic touch ups, it's still an easy fix. And also remember, renders can sometimes be colored different. See: Siege Barricade.

 

mp-10 does not come with multiple faces, mp-44 does. and no, earthrise prime does not come with alternate faces

 

Oh ok... Well it's called MP10V KBB the one with multiple face plates...
