Wow now that I own Pioneer and I'm looking at this pic...

He's going to be BIG.

 

Unfortunately after looking at Transcraft and Toyworld movie stuff, zetas offerings aren’t impressive to me sculpt wise anymore. Hopefully either TW or Transcraft make one.

 

Thing is, TC and TL go for MP scale, (aren't they?) and Zeta and TW are more for 3A. And of all those fabulous stuff TW has teased, there hasn't been a word about their movie Blitzwing...
And besides that, Pioneer is a great figure. Zeta and TW seem to be going head to head with the attention to details and weathered paint so I'm much more hyped for their Blitz now  

 

Idk, zeta just can’t get proportions or details right, so to me there really is no head to head competition here. Zetas bee for me suffers from being too blocky and thin compared to the movie design And the battle mask is way too stretched out for my liking. Cool paint and gimmicks only go so far and for me, just doesn’t cut it. This blitzwing looks like it’ll suffer from the same proportions issue too  

 

I got to handle the Zeta Pioneer this past weekend (thanks @Paik4Life). It looks awesome in person with its paint job and really, it's a great figure. The problem is it's first way too big and second its too thin or heroic. Still, it's a great figure.

Making it bigger won't make it look any more like an F-4...

 

The jet mode isn't an "abomination", it's just the wrong jet, like if Bumblebee was a lamborghini.

No, it's not "the wrong jet" like if BB was a Lambo, at all. It's a fake Frankenstein of a jet. It's like if BB was a Porschaudiferrari Thundercougarfalconbirdmaro GTS Spyder ZR1 Type-R. It's not anything, just some fantasy thing. It's worse than "the wrong jet", because it's not a jet at all.

"The wrong jet" would be an F-14, or Concorde, or Mirage, or MiG-29.

 

As per the definition, I can see why some would see it as an "abomination", but I don't.
