Those names are what TV Tropes would say are Early Installment Weirdness - TV Tropes. I would take issue with those names as being nonsensical made-up words if they were first introduced today. And just because I am okay with names like Xaaron, Traachon and Tomaandi due to their historical value doesn't mean I am okay with new nonsensical made-up words. Jhiaxus was made up from the phrase "gee, axe us" which was confirmed to be the case; and thats fine. And likewise, I would make up the name Jhitor as the Cybertronian name of a certain Transformer. It is a nonsensical made-up word too; but it rhymes with the character's earthern name, so I can accept it.

I don't even know how you came up with those names from earlier. They sound like weird alien species (which would be okay), not Cybertronians.

Just because you don't like those names doesn't make them "not Cybertronian names". In fact, I'd say that they're probably more authentically Cybertronian -- in that they're untranslated from their native tongue. Surely, on Cybertron 4 million years ago, an observer wouldn't hear someone saying "bleepus bloopon zorpax blippagon Wheeljack ziggazon vabagaan". It's pretty odd, I think, that these immortal alien robots have G.I. Joe names. Tomaandi and Straxus make a lot more sense. And yes, I know the origin of the Jhiaxus' name, but that doesn't mean that's what his name actually MEANS. It's a play on word sounds by the writer, not a literal meaning in-universe.

Anyway, as for the other names from earlier, remember I mentioned Boggle dice? That's literally what I did.

How is that more original? You just replaced half the name with a synonym.

I'm not sure how Shockwave gets confused with Soundwave. Maybe it does in non-English speaking countries, but it sure doesn't in English speaking countries.

It's very simple, actually. In any language. Most of the people quick-reads by getting the first and the last syllabe and then the rest of the word. Sometimes it's only the first letter and the last few ones. S....wave and S...wave, especially if the reader's pronounciation is far from perfect.

After watching some Emgo I'd love to see a tryhard Decepticon called Murderblade who pretends to be this evil badass when secretly he's a big, timid softie.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the made up alien names like Jhiaxus, Ulchtar or Alpha Trion.

That said, whoever came up with Banzai-tron or Cheetus should have been asked to leave via the window.

Lock down should be called Lock-on and Brake down renamed as Brake neck because there's too many transformers with Down suffix.

But then Lockdown would be confused with Lock-On, and Brakedown would be confused with Brake-Neck. Or Breakneck! Besides, should everyone named 'Smith' change their names because there's too many humans with the last name Smith?

I think there should be more Cybertronians named things like:
    Aqueous Humour
    Soufflé
    Raisinbagel
    Pillow
    Intestines
    Floccinaucinihilipilification
    Shrub

So when you look in a list of names, you can tell the blonde John Smith from the brunette John Smith from the redhead John Smith from the black John Smith?

Your logic doesn't hold up, my good man.

I think there should be more Cybertronians named things like:
    Organ Transplant
    Milk
    Booger
    Bedsheet
    Pickles
    Antidisestablishmentarian
    Tree
