I would be alright with KOHLS, until the company gets back on its feet.

Exactly. It's going to take some time before companies start dealing with the TRU brand anytime soon. Why did Geoffrey's Toy Box only have TRU exclusive brand toys in the pallet drops? Exactly this.

Interesting approach. It's the "we're not the middleman, we're just helping clients connect with customers" model of Uber and Air BnB.

I can't help but laugh at the first order of business for these clowns being to fill up on executive assistant vice presidents.

Not gonna lie I miss TRU but with Hasbro Pulse being a thing now, i don’t see myself going there as much as I use to if it comes back. Now that I have a convenient way to get all the new generations figures without having to constantly waste time checking stores just to find nothing, I think I’m just gonna stick with mostly online shopping for transformers for the near future.

A bunch of jargon, and Target has emerged as not ready for assuming more toy business. I have had multiple negative experiences with Target since TRU has left the landscape, and I'm not alone. Target doesn't stock well, doesn't communicate well, and doesn't maintain their systems properly or have anyone actually managing anything. If anything TRU will need to help them, not the other way around.

...reading the press release, they're positioning the brand as a virtual retailer, a middle-man website and brick-and-mortar showroom for third-party merchants, starting with target...

...looks like a web 2.0 business model aggregating reviews, marketing, manufacturers, and distributors under an umbrella brand to take their cut across the market as a whole, ostensibly to capture market share and VC investment without providing any tangible product to the end-consumer...

...hey, remember back when e-commerce was all about dis-intermediation?..yeah, i'm probably just an anachronistic populist, but it was sure was nice for everyone reaping the benefits of direct relationships between consumers and producers...

sounds exciting to me but the only trouble ive ever had with Target is a street dated Springer but there hands are tied with those. Their systems have no actual way of overwriting a street date at all.

So, does this mean that Target will have their overpriced items and then the same item marked up even more for the TRU version?

Toys R Us's site did too maybe they were always a team.
