Nope. It will not be my "hatred" that will take down MMC. A super big recession is just around the corner. Heck the Chinese market has already tumbled over for MMC. How do I know this? Well, in the past something like what MMC did for Fort Max would be funded in a fortnight over there, but this time around the Chinese market did even worse than the Western market. I bet the same thing will happen here as well. At that point, MMC will need to rely on people like me who are recession proof.

We will know then who the haters are. I think they will look similar to you.

I saw someone else mention this sometime ago, but it could be that they lack the (financial) resources to put out Cross Dimension and Re:master product simultaneously; and they seem focused on the latter at the moment.

I am sure we’ll still see this though. I just think we shouldn’t expect more than one new mold a year from this line. So if we will still see their Rodimus, I bet it won’t be before 2021.

In a way that's positive news. If it had been cancelled, then they could say it definitely wouldn't be released (this year). If a lot of work still had to be done, they could likewise say that it definitely wouldn't be released this year.

Stating that they don't think it will be released this year, could be interpreted as a sign that they're working on it, progress is being made, and it's not impossible it will get released this year, but there are other things that take up design/production time making it unlikely it will be finished in time for a release this year.

    (And people think I'm pessimistic.)

Truth be told, I'm pretty close to losing interest in this. Kind of hoping more for an MMC or Planet X IDW earth based Galvatron over this: robotmode is great, altmode is...something I guess...

Explain this to me please. The only information I can find are unsubstantiated claims.

If you look at the credit cycles for corporate debt, then you will see a pattern of recession following when it gets around 45 percent. So if it starts to fall, then, investors will probably begin selling and if all the high-yield funds sell-off at the same time would mean a disaster for the US if not the world economy.

Thanks, that makes more sense than anything I have read so far. Now I have something to look into.

The fact of the matter is this time around everyone would try to sell at the same time regardless of asset class. Just look at the stock index funds, etc. My gut tells me that we'll have a number of "holidays" where the authorities would shut down the market until investors "regain their sanity". If that's one month, then it's fine. One year, no problem as well.

Companies trying to barrow would be an issue during the shutdown because lenders have to carry that debt. To bring it back around to Galvatron, Maketoys might not have the ability to service their debt so we might see this company disappear because the next financial crisis will be in epic proportions.

That feel when not so long ago I came across some "Striker Manus" figure, not sure what that entire "cross dimension" line is about but started lurking intensively and decided that it'd be nice to have MTCD-01 and MTCD-06 on my shelf... Eventually I found the proper thread but all I see are depressed people
H-hello? May I ask about the current status of Rioter Galcatron?

We don't know much. We haven't heard any new news about anything else on him since last year. We don't know if this is still even happening or not.

If there is any new news about him, it will be posted in this thread and I'll be sure to link it onto the front page of this thread for people like you to keep up with. :)

Yeah I’d be really bummed if Galvatron wasn’t made, but Maketoys has been in quite a predicament lately it seems. Only time will tell. This would be the best CHUG sized Galvatron figure available

A week ago or so they replied to a question on FB saying this would come out, but . . . not soon.

Hopefully the QC isn’t atrocious, because I’ve heard terrible things about their recent sunstorm.

Also, have they clarified the future of this line? I mean if Galvatron isn’t coming out for a long time, that doesn’t bode well at all for future releases. Hell, they said on Facebook years ago that the Seekers were coming, and we haven’t even seen a resin prototype

I’m thinking that although awesome, their stuff isn’t selling like hot cakes. It’s amazing how many of their products are still available on their website. I think at the chug scale most collectors have their attention toward Hasbro right now. Of course their stuff isn’t perfect, but it’s scratching the proverbial itch at a perceived lower cost. (Quantity versus quality)

I think the CD line would be more popular if they had some sort of ongoing manga to help drive up some interest. I know they have a few comics but I dint think that’s enough.

I hope things turn around. I love their stuff.

Last year MT skipped the TFCon early in the year, but showed up for October. I'm just hoping for a repeat this year.
