i even took a screenshot of dxp's message. don't trust dxp as far as i can throw 'em and obviously, that's not far at all. someone buys into the little game going on and they'll be out some money.

Did anyone else notice this, it says funded 286%

 

It's been slowly dropping so who knows what the final percentage will be, but even low estimates place the final # of backers around 11k

 

there was never a doubt about it being funded on a massive scale. the NA retailers here had some massive buying group formed. that alone was going to push them over both times.

 

It was quite the buzz. Some people have noted that the HTML for the progress bar on the Unicron says 143% which is exactly half that and seems more in line with what was expected.

My bad, I have been off this discussion most of the day and just saw this and thought it was worth noting.

 

All this Unicron talk made me rewatch the movie just now. Just as when I was a Child, I still can't get passed this:

Ultra Magnus blown to scrap and dead....
"JUST TAKE THE REST OF THE DAMN DEAD AUTOBOTS TO THE JUNKIONS!!!"

This scene effectively removed any type of remorse I could have felt as a child for the Characters, their logic caused to much of a headache for me.

Also ended up making me into a sociopath equivalent to Patrick Bateman.

I zipped into EB Games this afternoon, mere minutes after the HasLab clock ran down to zero, and made my first weekly payment.  

I figure, after putting down AU$200 cash down as a deposit on two Unicrons, I'll pay $25 every week and have both those bad boys paid off in plenty of time before they arrive.

I love how Hasbro Australia have handled this!
I most certainly would not have bought into this whole Unicron project if my local branch of Hasbro had not made Unicron so accessible for collectors.

Aw, that's really unfortunate. I'm not getting it, but I was hoping for something along the lines of the other titan class boxes at the least.

 

That's because of a script change. Originally, Ultra Magnus was supposed to have been drawn-and-quartered by the Sweeps. It wasn't going to be fatal, because robot. But the visuals of that were too violent, so he got caught in a simple explosion instead. The rest of the movie script thereafter remained relatively unchanged, though, which creates the inconsistency.
