I'm thinking about getting Asra Archer Aoi. How durable are the Megami Device model kits compared to Revoltechs and Figuarts?

I like Archer a lot; she's probably my favorite in the line. She diesnt have so many accesories that its a chore to build, and what she does have look pretty nice.

I don't have any Figuarts figures to compare but as someone with a lot of figma, I'd say you can break a figma joint as easily as a model joint. But generally you can't compare most model kits to a normal figure. The plastic is much more delicate and inflexible, and parts can definitely snap if moved the wrong way or too roughly.

That said, the megami device kits are overall pretty well as durable as most other kits, provided care is taken in assembly, and the joints are sanded as needed. The biggest thing to watch out for is the wrists, as they are very tiny swivel joints, though most kits come with extras now. I havent managed to break any so far, but am very careful when posing mine.

^Agree wholeheartedly. Very good advice for people wanting go pick up the kit.

You just can't compare model kit to normal figure.
While I would like to see more people building the Megami Device kits, I don't really recommend getting the kits if you want to handle them like Revoltech or FigureArt figures.
It's best to have some DIY skills or model building experience if you want to buy the Archer.

Alternatively, you can get Bandai Figure Rise kits from the Build Diver series for practice.
They are not very refined compared to Kotobukiya kits but on the other hand, they are very durable and easy to build.
    Price is also way cheaper.

You can clearly see the quality difference but they are good intro kits.
Only 3 Build Diver kits available in 1/12 scale so far if you care about the scale.

I use tooth brush to clean my unpainted kit. Sometimes, even wash them if there are no stickers or decals applied.
For painted one, I use worn-out toothbrush. Not ideal since it could still scratch paint surface in some cases.
I have heard people using soft paint brush or makeup brush to clean the kits

Got a new shinki as a birthday gift to myself. Decided to bite the bullet and get an oorbellen, as well as my first dengeki exclusive.

She's quickly become one of my favorite shinki.I'm a little surprised the Garnet version doesn't get more love. The panelling on her body has just the right shade to look like sheer fabric, and the reverse arnval hair ombre is really eye-catching.

Now I just have to figure out where to put her. I'm running out of room on my shinki shelf

I like the black/gold for launcher a lot better, but black/red works for Lancer.

I am the opposite. I prefer the original colour for lancer and new colour for launcher.
The original pairs look more classy but I don't want to double dip. I will go with the more distinct versions.

I keep telling myself this but my body doesn't always follow.

Build the Red Baselard over the weekend.
Remind me how awesome the Kotobukiya robot kits usually are.
Tempting to get a FA Baselard model now.

I forget if there was interest in these but just in case, here's a promo vid for GSC's next 『chitocerium』.

The first half of the vid just shows the first one again so skip to the 37 second mark to view the next one.

Also plamoo posted a short animated clip featuring the 2nd one.

Atk Girl Arachne. You'll need to search for a shop that deals with Chinese products because that's what this is. You won't find it in the usual Japanese import hobby shops.

Just wanted to post my progress so far with MD Bullet Knight Lancer. Just the Shield and Lance left. Loving the design and the heart eyes are my favorite expression from MD so far! 20191007_190544.jpg

Finally track down the first Azone costume set for Kaede Agatsuma.

As mass producing 1/12 clothing, it's not bad but just doesn't measure up to the custom made ones on twitter.

Just watch some reviews first. I was kind of interested until I saw those meme-worthy faces.
