That is awesome, but it looks more like detailing and weathering than actually covering all the car parts in a different shade or varnish. Hoist doesn't have nearly as many parts that rub as Optimus does so .. just wondering how to give his car bits more pop. Without ruining him.

There, some minor paint touchups that actually go a long way on Hoist (and Trailbreaker). Doesn't solve the dull green, but better eyes and contrast in the face visor, and silver hubcaps, pep him up considerably.

So, I just got MST Hoist, finally and, once again, this old man needs help transforming his toy.. :D

Specifically, I'm having trouble getting his arms to unfold from vehicle mode. I'm at this step here:

From the pictures I've seen, it appears that the shoulders just pivot out on these pegs:
    20211101_131319.jpg

But I'll be damned if they budge. I've never had a tolerance issue with an MST figure, so I'm not sure if I should try some heat, or hit it with some shock and let it sit for a while. Any suggestions?

I think you have to rotate the shoulders where they attach to the parts you are talking about first (as in grab the whole arm and twist it BEFORE you bend it outward), otherwise they are locked. Those parts might slide up/down a bit too, can't remember, but twist first.

Thanks, MMM. I finally got it. I thought maybe those shoulders slid out in either direction before they rotated and didn't even realize the head, when closed up in its compartment, was in the way of the pivot. Once I got the head flap to open up and the head swung out, the shoulders pivoted the way they're supposed to.

I feel like the Roger Murtaugh of Transformers..

That is well nice but I would rather see progress on the legends OP V2.0 than seeing new designs for upcoming figures.

Wow, good news! Hopefully we get a bunch of Autobots now.

That pic has a weird perspective that throws it off a little bit, I can’t wait to see some better pics.

Ooooooooooh yes. Should get up to half-a-dozen new items from each of them, right?
