Fall break just came, took a trip home. I was very pleased to find a shelf my sister didn’t need anymore placed in my room. The figures under my bed finally have a place lol.

Some of these I may sell. Others I may replace with updated versions (if they’re any good). I’m looking forward to seeing the new constructicon releases.

Unfortunately I’m missing a piece on my ice cream truck mud/skid   I’ve spent countless hours scowering my house for it. (That and movie brawl’s turret piece lol)

I’ve done lots of stuff in my career including fashion design and web design but for the last few years I’ve mostly done consumer products, mostly for kids but my current job is designing bath and beauty products. It’s a lot of fun when it’s not boring  

Big deal he did all that stuff for me too AND he saved all of my transformers with one hand and built me a new home in 1/2 hour.

I think the TW one will be 29cm. I agree that 25cm would be a better height if we're taking vehicle mode size into consideration.

 

This may be an unpopular opinion but I think Ratchet should get another figure/ new mold in SS. I don't think his current SS figure (TF1 and DOTM) does the character justice. I would love a new and improved Ratchet later down in the line.

I'm debating buying the TLK sdcc voyager Optimus. Cheapest one on ebay is $75 shipped. I already have the retail one but in the past few months I've been collecting rarer figures for the sake of it's value and aesthetic appeal. A few weeks ago I bought the japanese rusty AOE evasion Prime for $30 and damn it's really good. I could customize my retail TLK Prime but I don't really have the energy and interest these days for painting.

Should I cave in and buy a sdcc Prime?

 

I went through a similar choice back when it first was announced, and I'm going to go ahead and say no. And I say this as somebody who quite enjoys the TLK Voyager Optimus Prime figure

• aesthetic appeal: this guy has inaccurate blue collars and no extra frills that would be super hard to apply on one's own like chrome or detailing that makes the sculpt pop. Flames on this one are undoubtedly better, but then again even a Reprolabels sheet could trump it. Main complaint I recall upon its reveal was how factory it looked, how it could be packaged into standard release Premiere Edition packaging and few would be the wiser
• value: it would be consistent to have such a figure in your collection, but you have to think about what you are getting (like non-sentimentally) for that 75 value. A figure whose transformation could be otherwise enjoyed at a more affordable price point and a piece of tire
• if you do go for it, I wouldn't pass 55-60 shipped. Cheapest I found sold brand new on August 16, 2019 for 34.99 + 9.99 shipping

If you're just looking for something to scratch the TLK Prime itch, might I recommend TLK EX-Dark Voyager Optimus Prime? Same base figure, same price if not less, and the drastically different color choice will make this piece stand out
