It was hard to tell from the display pics, but I'm still hopeful he's "Deluxe Class" in the same way that Shockwave and Astrotrain are "Leader Class" - i.e. his bazkooa is enough plastic to up his price point, while his robot mode fits in with the next size class down.

Love it, but won’t be picking up all of it, like I practically did with Siege. Mainly because a lot of the characters I don’t really care one way or the other, but the ones i do care for (Optimus, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, and depending on my mood Starscream) I love.

My silver lining is that the bot mode aesthetics match and if anybody is likely to get a Cybertronian mode later in another line, it’s Wheeljack, Bumblebee, and Jazz. Sunstreaker is likely to be an odd one out from the 84 cast who I COULD see never getting a Cybertronian mode.

Grapple seems too small while Wheeljack is too big. Deluxe has to be the worst size class. All the cars are too big while the jets and tanks are too small. That's my one issue with Siege. War for Cybertron Jazz and Sideswipe had smaller car modes which I liked but unfortunately the Prowl and Sideswipe molds are too big for my tastes in Siege.

I think I'd prefer Optimus if he had some chrome. He looks good but do I need another Optimus? He's not anywhere near my favourite character.

I always liked the G1 Ironworks toy apart from his arms. I always liked his face sculpt but he's gotten 2 new toys and they both have ugly faceplates.

I'm going to have to see more pics of Cliffjumper. I'm hoping he's a smaller deluxe. I don't mind him being a normal sized Autobot.

On the plus side, I've spent a small fortune since Combiner Wars started. Especially with the wonderful Titans Return so a break for my wallet can only be a good thing.

Primus, we're an entitled little fandom, aren't we?

I think the figures revealed so far look pretty great and it has definitely made me excited for their, and other characters, releases.
I, for one, find Starscream amazing looking, kind of a cross between Takara's MP and Maketoys' cartoon-style figures.

I voted "It's A'ight". Stuff looks very good, but IMO Siege seems a little bit more funner.

(assuming at this point. There's always the possibility I'll like stuff better when they're in-hand, and more stuff is revealed.)

I'm mixed. I'm happy to get CHUGS of characters I don't have (Grapple, Hoist, Cliffjumper), and out-of-left-field offerrings (Iron Works, Soundbarrier), but am disappointed that they aren't continuing the Cybetronian modes motif. I was looking forward to getting saucer-hover car versions of Bee and Wheeljack, and I already got Earth cartoon Prime and Starscream covered.

Seems weird for the middle part of a War for Cybertron trilogy to be '84 Earth based. Hopefully that means the third line will be futuristic so characters like Star Saber and Deathsaurus make more sense. Though a "modern day Earth" based interpretation of Star Saber might be interesting.

It's a bit of a mixed bag for me. Cliffjumper and Wheeljack are quite cool, Ironworks is an interesting concept and Hoist looks alright.

Not the biggest fan of the new Starscream with his ugly blocky torso in robot mode, and the articulation seems like a downgrade from Siege Starscream. Optimus Prime is ok, but I don't need another G1 style Optimus.

I agree. That we got tetrajets, an homage to Cybertronian lamppost Soundwave, rainmakers, etc, I'd still be kind of surprised if at least some of the other MTMTE Cybertronian modes don't show up. But my optimism is tempered by their apparent return to Earth modes so quickly.

I checked 'It's alright'. It's alwasy a case of seeing it hand before I can make a final judgment. In fact, now that I think about it, I didn't like the rendered Siege official photos that much at first glance. And then after getting Hound, I was like - oh yeah, TF's are back!

The more I let the reveal sink in, and as one poster above me said, I think my lukewarm response is because I don't have a super strong attachment to some of the characters revealed. Also, I think it's hard to follow up something as well recieved as the Siege line and not have it feel underwhelming. I wonder how many of us would have felt if this line came first, then Siege. And there's little things...

Things, that once again while 'little', are kind of 'why didn't they do ______?' moments for me. Like OP's grey hands and lower leg panels, no waist articulation on Starcream. And I'm not too fond of Wheeljack's mold.

On a postive note, Cliff looks great, we'll continue to round out our SE.1 casts from Siege with this line in a unified size, and I do like OP and SS, I just wanted to point out my little nit picking first world problems with the toys. And I'm quite happy with the Zarak/Scoponok reveal.

It will be interesting to see who else gets brought into this line.

They're alright. Only Grapple and Hoist really impress me right now. Wheeljack and Cliffjumper are good; probably better in hand. I wasn't interested in Ironworks but I've already caved to the concept and preordered him, too. I am looking forward to hearing anything about wave 2 so we can see how diverse this chapter actually may be. Coneheads? More '88 targetmasters? The mercenary characters from the card game - Lockdown, Detritus, Deadlock, Octone??

My initial impressions were very negative.
I'm not happy they abandoned the Cybertronian theme so quickly.
I'm a little offended that they're bringing back Optimus and the Seekers so soon.
Super disappointed that Wheeljack & Bumblebee are Earth-modes...
It really is starting to feel like a rehash of MP figures at lower price points.

    BUT,
This is also how I reacted to Siege's reveal. It felt like a cash grab, and I planned on sitting out. Fast forward to today, and it may be my favorite TF line ever.
So I'm just gonna sit back and wait for these to come out, and pretend like I'm not gonna buy at least half of them

Wish they could just go all out on Micromasters.

On the one hand, another Optimus / Astrotrain / Wheeljack reminds me I've been at this too long.

On the other hand, I can see why they play it safe, and these things aren't expensive.

Guess I'm going round the block again.

Starscream and Prime look nice but we just got them (and damn near identical botmodes).

If Earthrise turns into Siege bots with new alts... I'm out.

Ironworks though, yes please. More of that.
