I'm divisive on them. Im definitely gonna pick up a pair of Soundbarriers though lol
Cant wait for them to reveal Octone and other non-earth stuff

 

I really wish they would have finished The Ark crew in Siege before moving on to the Earth Crap

 

Only ones I am feeling are Ironworks, Cliffjumper and maybe Optimus. The rest are so kibble-laden and/or messy looking that I can't actively consider buying any of them. Optimus is only because I have a G1 Optimus which I like and he reminds me of it without being frail from some time's worth of play.

It really blows that we won't see any more Cybertronian modes either. I was hoping to get a set of bots for both worlds.

 

These are great. Long needed a Cliffjumper that’s not a BB remold. Starscream looks good and Prime has a trailer I like. Good stuff.

 

I'm definitely in for Grapple, Prime & Wheeljack. I'm happy with my Classics Hoist but if they redo Trailbreaker? Ill get him.

Hoping that Pointblank, Sureshot & Needlenose turn up pretty quickly too....wanna get the rest of 87 & 88 finished up.

 

I voted "love"...but would appreciate a "like" option between "love" and "alright". I"m just bummed about the, thus far, lack of Cybertronian Jackie.

 

Very underwhelming. Very 84-85. But I was expecting that after the low quality of Siege.
I'm happy I can replace my universe Grapple and my T30 Cliffjumper. But it says a lot about people who can't go without another Optimus and Starscream after they just had new toys while those spots could have been taken by Snapdragon and Doubledealer who are both still waiting for their first toys since that Blitzwing repaint and the eighties.

I have as good as stopped collecting because of how boring WFC is. The last wave of Siege and Skyfire are pretty much the only thing I'll have bought from the line.

I wish Hasbro would go back to producing the awesome variety of characters we had in CW and TR.

We should have been close to getting G2 and BW toys by the end of WFC, instead we might just get the 84 guys again.

 

The gray/blue plastic issue on Prime makes me sad, but I pre-ordered him anyway in the hopes I can paint his hands or buy a replacement set from Nonnef or something. But, beyond that, this was one of my favorite reveals in a while. Cliffjumper and Wheeljack are next level. Grapple and Hoist are absolute perfection (and I need a third party Solar Power Tower now).

 

Mixed feelings. I don't have Hoist in my collection & I've been planning to get one so he's cool. But overall I don't want these characters again. We just got Wheeljack & Mirage in Combiner Wars. Grapple will most likely be retooled in another Inferno which we also just got. Leader Optimus look inferior to the downsized voyager MP-10 that I already have. I love the Cliffjumper is a deluxe instead of a stupid minibot.

I just don't want these characters anymore. Siege Mirage should have been Slapdash. I've been waiting years for them to finish the deluxe Insecticons but I'm giving up hope. I want an actual Doubledealer, not a stupid Blitzwing repaint. I want them to make all the characters that haven't been updated yet.

The last big reveal showed Apeface. This weekend we have another big reveal & where is Snapdragon? Will Snapdragon share the same fate as Ransack, Barrage & Venom?

I'm seriously tired/fatigued of Hasbro's bullshit. I just want to finish up the last few characters from G1 that need to be updated but Hasbro just keeps making the same characters over & over & over again. I don't want to waste my money on them anymore.

Right now I'm more interested in going back & collecting Transformers: Prime. I'm pretty much done collecting the new stuff unless they make the characters I actually want. I can't believe they made another Mirage instead of Slapdash.  

 

I'm happy about Earthrise but Cliffjumper really pisses me off. Here's a screenplay of my morning (i'm bored if you can't tell).

INT. OFFICE

I'm drinking coffee, surfing the web. I see the new reveals and open up my "Transformers Classics Collection Checklist" from 2006.

(updating checklist)
ME: Ah, ok, they're making mini-MPs. I can replace
T30 Hoist and Solar Grapple.

(sees Wheeljack and Starscream)
ME: Cool, cool. I've always wanted a
slightly larger Classics Starscream.

(sees Cliffjumper)
ME: Cliffjumper! I can FINALLY finish off my mini-bot collection
with...a... deluxe? Ah f*ck you, F*CK you!!

ME storms out of the office like a big whiny baby punching everything Deluxe-sized.

 

At least Hasbro remembers Cliffjumper. Where the fuck are Ransack, Barrage & Venom? They made Chop Shop back in 2015. I should've had the whole team by now.
 

 

as some have said, scream feels like a downgrade, they didn't even have to use much of the budget for the transformation because they just used the classics mold. i don't see why they could budget wrist swivels, the joint that shortens the arms appears to have been redesigned in a way that no longer gives us a double bend(could be wrong) and that didn't seem necessary, they could'vs include forward back ankle rockers like siege, the lack of a waist swivel is at least understandable but i think they could've implemented a hip/pelvic/bar swivel like some gunpla ex:
basicly the bar connecting the legs to the waist can swivel side to side

anyway sorry about my rant on starscream and now on to why i love earthrise

the deluxes are really solid, finally transformers with realistic body standards, in all honesty hasbro did a good job on proportions especially compared to siege where several deluxes had t-shaped bodies with scrawny limbs, prowl in particular looks like their wearing a corset. hoist in particular looks really solid and definitely worth full price

i like the new approach to battle damage to where its more subtle and only applies to characters it would make sense for (ironworks has a paint worn crane and hoist has slight scratching on his truck, he also has weathering on his arm so i guess his gun has a lot of recoil.

the base mechanic is a great improvement on weaponizers, i found them meh and the weaponizing really compromised the other modes so now that the modularity can be used for base building it feels a lot more appealing.

finally leader prime, they look really solid, and i never would have expected a matrix gimmick, articulated hands, and even butterfly joints, it is a bummer that they couldn't give his hands or his trailer drone blue plastic. hopefully megatron gets a similar treatment, maybe they could give him a throne or a battle platform that could hitch on to the back of his tank mode
