he was designed for earthrise but pulled forward into siege so he will be in both wave 5 of siege and wave 1 of earthrise, whats good about that is wave one sticks around alot more than other waves so he will be alot easier to get ahold of than i thought

Now why couldn't they do a simple recolor and rename on smashdown? Or even keep the name and just swap colors and factions? ANYTHING but a straight carryover would be preferred...

 

honestly i was really hoping they would make a decepticon out of him so a straight repack is a little underwhelming

 

He looks different in that render with starscream. He looks like a darker grey and maroon, as opposed to the light grey and bright red of the on currently on the shelves. Also it looks like his blast effect might be clear in earthrise while its opaque in seige

 

Not arguing, you may be correct, but it's still the 'same' toy... I could place siege optimus next to earthrise optimus on a shelf just fine, but this situation is "a horse (bull) of a different color " though...

I'm excited to see what they do with Megatron.. I REALLY am hoping they do a Gun Megs, even if he's a Nerf Gun or something. Tank Megatron just gets old after a while, and doesn't really suite his G1 cartoon design in my honest opinion.

Regarding the trailer it is a bit small, it can’t be more than maybe 7 to 7.5 inches long, but in Hasbro’s defense the trailer would have tp be around 10 to 12 inches long to match up with Prine’s truck mode dimensions, which is a lot more unneeded plastic.

 

I'm excited to see voyagers with some articulation in the hands; hell a little sanding, alcohol, and some blue paint I should be able to "fix" Prime's hands 

 

Optimus is apparently 7 inches tall and the trailer in upright repair bay/base(?) mode is slightly taller than that.

I suppose I can get used to a smaller trailer (it's more shelf-space friendly, at least) but I'm not too fond of how high it sits above it's wheels as a result, compared to the original version. Maybe I'll get used to it. But the thing that's really nagging me is the absence of Roller.

 

Plus it wouldn't fit in the box which I'm guessing is the major decider for how big they made the trailer.
