I'm more bothered by the shoulder joint/bicep color, and the lower legs, they still have the same peg on the knees, but in truck mode it's off to the side, I wish they were like SS-38's legs.

 

They forgot to turn up Wheeljack’s spoiler/wings in alt mode.
I’m displeased with these reveals. I thought I could give my wallet a rest!

Cliffjumper’s alt mode looks like a 90s Celica.

 

Oh God, I was so focused on the fists and combat deck that I didn't even realize those! Christ! You're absolutely right! This toy looks awful! Complete ass of a coloration job!

 

Ya know I too was wondering if it'd be possible to swapping between the 2.

Also those Cyberverse figures are very nice and I’m proud of Hasbro for trying. I’m not gonna be here again cause these threads get generally messy.

Cliff’s backpack is massive, hollow, and has boat shoes. To me it’s not better, it’s just different.

Listening to Warden's Q/A with TFU, the guy knows his shit. So if he wasn't able to make blue fists work it wasn't for lack of trying.

Didn't we see some running color changes with Ironhide between showcases and release? I'd be hopeful the same will happen with Prime here.
Although even if it doesn't, for me this still looks like a pretty good Optimus Prime figure.

 

I'm a mixed bag on this. I loved Siege so much but Earthrise seems almost a step back. Like some of the engineering got lazy. Stuff seems way more kibblely.

Earthrise Deluxe Cliffjumper - Sold... But them boat feet man... also that backpack... yeesh. Still sold... good representation of the character and probably isn't fully transformed right. A bee from this would be good as well.

Earthrise Voyager Starscream - Not sold... It seems like a step back... Nostalgia glasses on it looks good... but it has lost articulation and gained kibble in other spots. No waist swivel is unforgivable. I might get Thundercracker because hes my boy... But I am skipping most if not all Seeker recolors. Only way I'd be in, is for coneheads... This coming from a person that has the whole Siege rainbow of seekers. Not burnt out just not impressed.

Earthrise Leader Optimus Prime with Trailer - I'm a sucker... Likely Sold... I have it on preorder and might bow out later. Trailer is cool, and the new head sculpt is good, but the tires just resting on his back seems lazy. Plus the colors are off.

Earthrise Deluxe Hoist - Sold... and can hardly wait for the Trailbreaker remold/repaint!

If you want G1 toys go on eBay and buy the G1 stuff.

 

I don't know about you, but that's not exastcly something embarrassing to say, well atleast not what I said. I just said, and meant, that Hasbro went through the "trouble" of upgrading the torso and thighs, that it's a bit disappointing that the lower legs are the way they are, which includes having an asymetrical peg whole in bot mode that serves no purpose in vehicle mide other than being an asymentrical peg whole on the right side of the truck bed. And yes, the figure didn't need to have grey in the arms, but they we made that way for some odd reason.

Like, almost moreso than fist color. It's like the playoffs of nitpicking.

 

Ok, this has been bothering me after reading through some comments today. No biggie! Just an eye twitch every time I read “Why does Cliffjumper’s alt mode look like Windcharger’s?” Maybe it’s the color or the shape but this new Cliff is what he is suppose to be. A Porsche 924. Windcharger is a 1980’s Trans Am. To me they look nothing alike. I think HasTak got it right. 

 

It's pretty embarrassing to not get the right color on a character that you have complete control over.
I would say you are right when it comes to complaining abould bicep color, but when you look at the top of the cab, it doesn't look apealing. I could point out how his chest sticks out a bit much, how it's dumb that the front wheels appear to be connected to the butt, or how there's still gap in the back of the cab, but all of those are truly uneccessary nitpicking, given that they have their reasons -
Chest - Allows for the truck face to be flush/Matrix Chamber
Butt Wheels - Less total kibble on the back
Cab Gap - Less total kibble on the back
There is no neccessary reason for the biceps to be grey, for the hands to be gray, for the original asymetrical peg hole to still be there, for the inner and rear sides of the calves to not be smooth.

Yup, and I'm not wrong; I'm guessing you think I'm not getting this figure, I'm not blind to it's superiority over the Siege version, this figure is the better Optimus, by wide margine, but thinking about what could have been stings, as many things do.

 

While i agree in that i dont get why people think Cliffy us gonna another Windcharger or looks like him, not even close... but im pretty sure they went for Cliffy being this. The front end matched pretty much 100%...

 

Everything looks great...except Prime. Mold wise, he looks amazing...but that grey plastic on his legs and hands do not look good...at all. And even if his hands had to be molded in that ugly grey, why couldn't have Hasbro sprung for a few extra bucks to paint them? I mean, if there is any character worth spending more money for, it should be Optimus Prime, right?  

 

I hope Cliffjumper gets retooled into Hubcap.
