And what's wrong with that? It fixes man of that figure's flaws and has better articulation. This is the modern G1 Starscream figure.

Yeah. ”It's the Classics version, but a better size and way better articulation and none of the glaring flaws" sounds like a ringing endorsement.

Me: Oh hi there. Your name\'s Soundbarrier. So it says here you\'re a ramp and shield. What\'s that like?

    Soundbarrier: EXISTENCE IS PAIN!!

    Amazing. It’s absolutely brilliant.

As I recollect, in one of the issues of the new IDW there’s a whole soliloquy about how transformers pick their alt modes. And here we have RAMP deciding that he wants to be a fucking ramp.

That little loop left on the jet under carriage is a bit ugly, but seeing it at a toyfair in physical might help. CG renders tend to highlight things on a figure that turn out not to be as glaring of an issue. Cliffjumper and hoist look nice.

[Scrolls down frontpage to see physical models of StarScream] Facepalm. "Okay. And there it is."

When it's a better toy than the original, pulls off the look better while at the same time not changing it for arbitrary "exciting" reasons and unnecessary and unrelated gimmicks, then yeah. It's an endorsement. I haven't replaced any of my Henkei seekers during all these years because everything since has been a lateral compromise. The Titans ones were too huge and Jetfire in disguise. The CW figures were combiners, with the Deluxe not really have many design cues and the Voyager had bloated proportions. The Siege one was Cybertronian instead of his classic alt mode, and was off in a lot of little way in robot mode. This one doesn't suffer from any of that. We've had a bunch of reimagined Seekers since the Classics mold, there's nothing wrong with going back to it one more time and finally nailing it down, and right.

But... it is a ringing endorsement. Those were literally the only things that held the classics mould back from being perfect.

The transformation of the classics mould was excellent, it was the primitive articulation, shrimpy size, and awkward proportions that killed it.

Now if we could just get a set of deluxe twins to turn into ramps for Titans Return Fortress Maximus and one for Metroplex, I'd be a happy camper. :)

I ordered Optimus and Ironworks at Amazon, but they didn't list the MicroMasters and Battlemasters yet, so I'm getting them from BBTS. That's probably gonna be it for me and Wave 1.

I don't know if this Starscream has landing gear, I thought it at least had nose gear but what I thought was the nose gear is actually the hinge that the front half of the cockpit splits at. The benefit is that it's no longer binded to the head the way the Classics one was(where if you swiveled the head, the front attached radome would swivel too).

This post is being read out in the Hasbro consumer insights meeting tomorrow morning.

Next line...nothing but glorious ramps everywhere. Ramps as far as the eye can see (and let’s not forget the $300 premium masterpiece ramps to come).

My thoughts on Transformers WFC Trilogy Earthrise figures.
Optimus Prime:We finally have a CHUG Optimus Prime that is spot on to the original toy but also comes with a trailer.I really like this Prime but my dislikes is that the hands are grey and the eyes are yellow and I know the yellow eyes are homage to original the comics and toy appearance.

Grapple:What could I say, this is the best Grapple figure besides the Masterpiece that we ever gotten and yes the Solar Storm was very good but this one hit the nail in the coffin for the character.I can honestly see them repaint him as Hauler and retool/remold him to make Inferno and Artfire.

Starscream:This is a very awesome looking Starscream figure that doesn\'t have a gimmick and I know it looks like a scale up version of the original CHUG one with more articulation but come on this seems better then the Masterpiece and hopefully we no only get Skywarp and Thundercracker but where is my Coneheads!

Cliffjumper:I am so happy that we have a proper Cliffjumper in this line that is not a Bumblebee repaint. This is a beautiful Cliffjumper figure but the question is will they have the other minibots the same scale as him and also I can see this mold use for Hubcap,Omnibots and Battlechargers.

Ironworks:Not much to say about him just a very interesting concept and can\'t wait for more Micromasters bases to have ther own robot modes.

Hoist:This Hoist look amazing and can\'t wait to get him with Grapple but the question is will we see a Trailbreaker from this mold?

Wheeljack:Not much it\'s Wheeljack and he looks good but I am disappointed that we never got a Cybertronian Wheeljack and Bumblebee in the Seige line.

Hot Rod Patrol:Not much Daddy O(Big Daddy) and Trip Up are nice in the Micromasters Collections, but by far my favorite is Daddy O(Big Daddy).

Military Patrol:Both Growl and Bombshock are cool and glad we got them but hopefully we get full teams of Micromasters soon.

Sound Barrier:I don\'t know what to say about him.

Seems eh to me, ironworks seems interesting, same with micro master gimmick, but other then that. Happy with mpv10 plus trailer, most of my classics/generation figures that represent g1 characters. If you don\'t have them I recommend picking up the line. Just wanna see some other characters from other lines, ie beast wars(love me some pre-bw updates), Unicron trilogy, prime.etc. With that being said I can see myself most likely be getting some eventual repaint exclusives.
