That starscream is so mine, years of waiting have finally paid off.

 

Hopefully this guy is still in the works. Fingers crossed he will show up a little later in the Earth Rise line similar to galaxy convoy

 

Aside from Optimus, cliff jumper is the real gem here.

Starcream will be cool with the other seekers too.

All the rest are... mehhh at best

And why the paint splatter on hoist? I thought we were done with that mess.

I don’t even know which thread to reply to. We have too many conversations about the same thing in four or five different threads.

Oh well. I hope we get a Weaponizer Fasttrack for Scorponok that could get retooled into Roller for Prime.

 

I'm guessing it was planned from early on, but I think the title was a little misleading. I was disappointed when the news of Earthrise came, but by that time not surprised. My wallet on the other hand, is grateful.  

 

Why should this be enough, though? Hasbro's already shrunk Leaders down to being Voyagers with accessories while still charging $50, so I think the least they could do is put a little extra paint on their toys.

 

Cliftjumper is the real gem, others just OK and can Hasbro stop doing those ugly paint weathering and battle damage things on them, it really spoil the whole mold.

 

We're definitly getting a cartoon accurate Optimus. For once, I am actually going to be happy if we get a gun mode for Megatron, mainly becausr the could make it a Leader Class figure, with the stock and silencer for gun mode; the only other option is a jet.

What's cool about the Cliffjumper mold, besides being a Cliffjumper before a Bumblebee, is that when it is remolded into Bumblebee, making him a Beetle will mean that he will be smaller in vehicle mode, and have less kibble in bot mode, namely the feet.

 

Warden already said this CJ won't be remolded into Bee.

 

wait really? but... thats what we WANT. (least i assume so)

 

Wonder if they will do firearm megatron for this series? One can only hope. Even if the orange barrel is permanently affixed. 

 

When then, either we're not getting a Bee, or we're getting mini MP-45.

I think it's likely Bee will be a new mold but with some shared engineering and parts, like those obvious Bumblebee arms. Perhaps that's what Warden means.

 

Most likely they had a bunch of G1 designs then bolted on 'cybertron' theme to stretch it to a second figure - that Prime is no retool it's the same siege figure with the Cybertron kibble removed - siege op was the pre-retool in my eyes. The only ones that truly looked Cybertron native were the Tetra jet's. Expect simple tweaks to other siege figures, e.g. a few simple tweaks to Soundwave will make an 'earth mode'.
With the Generations line near complete bar a few Hasbro is now all about the double dip to keep the line going.

 

The torso is an awesome upgrade, the thighs are okay, but those lower legs really are a bummer, it would have been cool if they transformed like SS-38's legs. If a third party were to release upgraded legs, I'd get them the second they're available.

Wow the combat deck drone can attach to Prime as a backpack, AWESOME!

 

Cliffjumper is the best of the group. Wheeljack looks good but I think I will wait for the Sunstreaker repaint/retool. Hoist looks good but a bit plain and I hope TAKARA does a better job with the guy. Starscream looks great but I not sure if I will start collecting a new group of CHUG seekers since it took me about six years to complete my set of six.

 

so, we know the repaints will be coming in full force based on these reveals (Skywarp, Thundercracker, Inferno, Trailbreaker, et al) but I wonder if we'll get a lot of retools like Earth Sideswipe, Earth Prowl, etc too...
