I hear ya on the hands but I’m hoping this is just a proto not the final! As the pics we saw had blue hands! I’m going they go blue! If not I’ll just paint them but be sad as everything else is a home run!

also wheeljack looks great and they will use that mold for Sunstreaker as it will only need a few tweaks to make him & maybe even tracks! I agree about CF I like my mini bots but might pick him up anyway lol! God to me this is all home runs For me! I love the toon looks!

 

But this is clearly a Siege retool, which has the real and fake cockpits at opposite ends.
So where does the (former) tetrajet cockpit go?

 

I know we are always Autobot heavy, and that this is only the first reveals/wave, but looks like Starscream and a couple minicons vs the world.

I supprised someone like Weijang hasn't already attempted this upscale of the 06 seekers.

 

Not the original peg hole; Siege Optimus spins his shins around, this Optimus just turns at the waist. They should have removed the original peg, and smoothen out the calves.

 

If it's a Siege retool, then why do the legs tuck into the chest, and not hang out the underside?

What if... this might sound crazy here. It isn't an retool of the Siege mold? If that was the case, wouldn't be kinda odd that it's an extensive retool?

 

Nope, it's a new mold based on the Classics deluxe.

I want that Cliffjumper but I\'m disappointed that we never got Siege versions of Wheeljack, Bumblebee or Jazz. Huge missed opportunity if you ask me.

 

That Cliffjumper is getting bought so fast you have no idea.

Wheeljack looks awesome to me as well.

 

They'll get a lot of mileage from that skeleton, Runamuck, Runabout, Throttlebots (hopefully)

 

Wheeljack, Grapple, Hoist, and Starscream all look fantastic. Not really sure about Cliffjumper yet, he seems to have Windcharger's alt mode and I don't need ANOTHER Windcharger (especially since the PoTP version is PERFECT). And yeah, the grey hands on Optimus bug me too. Especially since those seem to be pinned in, meaning painting or swapping them will be very difficult. I don't care what Warden says about how they "had" to do them this way, they didn't have to. They CHOSE to since the hands probably could've been gang molded with the head or legs or whatever. But I get the impression they are setting up another repaint of the mold (also with blue eyes), maybe as an exclusive (especially if the repaint omits the trailer, being set to go against a possible new Voyager Megatron).

Going to be honest, none of these besides Optimus really compel me to replace existing figures like Generations Wheeljack, Solar Storm Grapple, Generations Hoist or Classics Cliffjumper. I will admit Cliffjumper does look kind of neat.

Starscream is basically just a size upgrade of the original Classics mold that would look better with his teammates. I would need to know they will be doing the 3 Seekers and Coneheads before I upgrade.

People were complaining when the CADs for Optimal Optimus came out and it looked like half of the little Primal's face wasn't going to be painted, either, and there will still be people a few months from now complaining that Takara didn't give MP Blackarachnia purple feet...

So this is not a "G1 for the sake of G1" thing, but honestly kind of a justifiable "quit skimping out on the paint apps for your Leader class" thing.
